Zakk Wylde has finally crawled back up in Ozzy’s ass…home sweet home I guess.

I love Ozzy . . . . but I’m curious when the last time anyone gave a shit about his new albums was.
Other than the last Sabbath album “13”, has anyone bothered following his recent stuff?
Is he still married? I hate Sharon so much. I wish her butt cancer would have just followed through and dropped that bitch back in 2001.
Ozzy is great. When I was watching Black Sabbath play last year, an idea about that person occuried. While thinking how great Ozzy still sounds after all these years, I realized the amount of effort it takes to belt out his monotoned verses it was about a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale. This perhaps make him the most underperforming and underachieving (musically) band member in ozzy or black sabbath. This lazy ass fool tactic has served him well, he has to do little effort, his fans love him and he can continue to do this. If he didnt have a manager he would be carrying on arguements in some soup kitchen on the topic of 3 dollar wine. That is my take away of Ozzy.
Zakk is a different animal and operates in the realm of hardwork and focused obsession. I baffles me the two individuals are associated as a “team” or “duo”.
Zakk Wylde needs to follow the same advice Gunnar gave Tommy Victor in the Danzig thread… man, I get tired of Wylde really quickly. Unnessecary solos and bends left, right and centre. At least he’s not singing in the Ozzy band. [:|]
On the other hand, I haven’t exacly held my breath in anticipation for anything ozzy-related since… eh…
I Fucking HATE Zakk Wylde.
I hate Zakk and Ozzy, so. . .?

I was never a big fan of ozzy. Id never sought out his albums cause the stuff of his Id hear on the radio. My favorite thing was his duet with Lita Ford. And obviously Crazy Train is a solid tune (i actually owned the rerelease of this album still dont think the singles are the best songs off of it though). No More Tears and Momma I’m Comin Home were decent tracks off of No More Tears album but otherwise Ozzy was always kinda meh to me. Especially in the later years after the No More Tears album. But about 7 or 8 years ago i was in a Zia in Vegas and I figured for the hell of it id pick up No Rest For The Wicked. Man that album is fuckin great!!! Id never heard any tracks off of that album and Miracle Man was fuckin sick!!! Crazy Babies definitely #2. I like that whole album. So about 5 or 6 months later i was in LA at Amoeba and picked up the rest of the back catalogue (for like 17 or 18 bucks) and man those albums are solid as fuck. The singles on them are still pretty meh (like over the mountain and flying high again) but the rest of the albums are fuckin great. I pretty much like every album released before no more tears. As i said the singles off of those albums are mostly meh but hearing them if youre listening to the whole album the rest of the songs kinda brings them up.
Blizzard of Ozz and Diary are metal classics in my book…I will love those records until the day they put me in a pine box…and I love all his work with Sab…after Diary it gets sketchy for me…there are parts of Bark at the Moon I dig but Ultimate Sin sucked butthole…Bark was the last full album I could stand…was never a Zakk fan but loved Randy and Jake…
I thought this was curious, just in terms of Ozzy doing another record and touring at all. I saw Sabbath last year and it was kind of disappointing. Their performance seemed slow and their psychedelic computerized backdrop images looked like a Windows screen saver.
But, that was a weird show in general. People were throwing beach balls around, they were selling those light-up necklace things, and the Sabbath merch booth was selling throwback shirts and posters that had Bill Ward on them, who wasn’t even on the tour.
I can say I’ve seen Sabbath now…I guess.

$$$$
Also, divorce is a bitch isn’t it?
BTW, I’d rather eat a nice gourmet peanut butter and jelly sandwich than go to an Ozzy/Sabbath concert.

Unless your Hulk Hogan then karma is a real motherfucker! [:P]
Divorce?
I dunno wasnt he fucking around on his wife last year? I’m probably incorrect
Yeah,he was but they aren’t getting divorced…she isn’t gonna let her money making machine go that easily…

Cool. I just see shit flare up seasonally and it was being reported from that last round (where he was cheating with his hairdresser, I think) that she had finally had too much . . . . but . . . we’ve heard that story a million times.
I was just curious.
As for Sabbath on their final tour. Sorry, I should probably say “final” tour. Anyway, I think it’s a bit of a crapshoot with Ozzy nowadays. I was worried we wouldn’t even GET a show as he was having health problems immediately before our date, but . . . . HOLY SHIT THEY WERE AMAZING!!! And they were doing deep cuts too, not just the obvious hits. It was insane how great they sounded (even Ozzy who is nowadays sometimes the weakest link live).
Anyway, I fucking love Ozzy. The Sabbath records are fucking pure perfection through and through, and his early solo stuff is all great too. Like Queer said, Blizzard and Diary are classic masterpieces and things get a bit fragmented after that . . . . .
ULTIMATE SIN gets a lot of shit, but I fucking adore it. And the cover art belongs in the fucking Smithsonian. That was just next level shit from an era when people gave a fuck what records looked like. Look at it! Frame it! Beat off to it!!! It’s just that fucking good.
There seems to be a resurgence in love for Ultimate Sin…I just never could deal with the songs and glossy production of that album…but I did see them in that tour with Yngwie opening!!!..and yeah the cover is undeniably bad ass…and the chick who recreated in the video was super hot…always thought it was funny that Dweezil was in that video…
Huh. I’m surprised but also not?
Always loved Ozzy and Sabbath. As far as Ozzy Sab goes, everything up to and including Never Say Die is classic and I loved 13 (Technical Ecstasy is possibly my least-favorite album Ozzy has ever been involved with). Solo-Ozzy is a lot less cool now than when I was a teenager but I can still appreciate all of his records in some way. Even the Ultimate Sin, which I liked in a cheesy guilty-pleasure way and still do. I listened to and actually enjoyed Black Rain but I never cared enough to get around to that Scream album for whatever reason. Since I’ve coincidentally started listening to his solo discography all the way through after not having listened to him in a very long time, I guess I’ll get to it now and see what I think about this Gus G guy.
Also, Ozzy cheating on Sharon is nothing new and she’s been talking about having had enough since at least the early 80s, doing her own share of cheating as well. “SATO” off Diary of a Madman is about the affairs they were each having with other people. Maybe their shared unfaithfulness creates a weird kind of balance. Or maybe everyone else is right and Sharon isn’t ready to put the cash cow out to pasture yet.

I kind of doubt that, actually. I mean, she’s always had Ozzy’s balls in a vise and I really doubt she’d be anything but still filthy rich after a divorce. In fact, I suspect Ozzy (while he would be just fine financially and really doesn’t need all that much anyway) would take a HUGE hit.
One of the reasons I don’t really actively even give the latest albums a chance is because of how lame and tired the artwork is. It’s just embarrassing.
Well,Bob Daisley wrote the lyrics to S.A.T.O and claimed it had a very different meaning…that song was originally titled Strange Voyage and was only changed later by Sharon to S.A.T.O to stand for Sharon and Thelma Osbourne(Thelma being Ozzys ex)…all this stuff is in Daisley’ book which is a good read and a cautionary tale about getting fucked over by Sharon…lets just say the guy kept a journal since 1976 and the details of the book are meticulous and prolific…
