Paul ryan is really stupid!!!

[reply][reply][reply][reply]See you in another 6 months or maybe never.

You will be missed. be missed about as much as you were prior.

Sorry your Fox programming hasn’t prepared you for more than the shallow end of discussion.
good day
Late,
grmpysmrf[/reply]

I do find it amusing that you got ripped off by the hoi polloi down the street. A bunch of section 8ers move in the neighborhood and they rob the resident lefty who defends their subsidies. Don’t lose your firm grip on the government teat. And with that I bid you a good evening.[/reply]
Changing the subject like usual… If they got enough subsidies they wouldn’t have to rob and steal would they, smart guy? I suppose you’ll return when hannity tells you what to think and how to respond. You’re the problem, stupid, not them. You cut off access to even more basic needs you’re gonna see more of this. Keep voting your greed you retard… It’s worked out so well for Michigan hasn’t it? Get a clue.
Late,
grmpysmrf[/reply]

I believe you were the one who called your buddies down the street a “shitty low rent family” whose presence is “totally degrading the neighborhood” amongst other things. I get it, Section 8ers are all fine and dandy until they move next door.[/reply]
I thought you were leaving?? more empty promises.
AND no I don’t have a case of NIMBY because NOT ALL low rent families are shitty… but your prejudice wouldn’t allow you to consider that I didn’t mean ALL low income people were shitty. For the sake of your pride Just stay in the shallow end where your feet can touch.

Headline -LA Times.

The crazed internet gadfly grmpysmrf, was detained by Secret Service agents today while attempting to strangle former president George W. Bush. Inexplicably, a completely naked, Mr. smrf lunged at the former president wildly shouting “I’m just a patsy”. The former president was unharmed though non-plussed by the incident. Rambling, non-sensical, profanity laced internet postings reveal severe psychosis brought on by Fox News’s Sean Hannity. Hannity, in between taking bites of his whole wheat bagel with diamond encrusted tweezers, had no comment.

[rolleyes]
It’s funny when Peligro does/did this. You don’t have it, you just continue to further embarrass yourself.

I’ll be back in 6 months or so to rattle your cage again. Or maybe not.

Heard this empty promise twice before.

There really isn’t much of interest here anymore.

riiiiight, which why you posted more here in 12 hours than you have in months.

Stay thirsty my friend.

Thanks for the commercial, I suppose.

Perhaps, but not on the discrepancy level that is Ryan and RATM.
those are two equal opposites… Much like Jews and nazis. Ratm are the Jews Ryan is clearly the fascist nazi

YOU are the one that feels the need to divide and segregate people and villify one particular group simply because they differ from you. You are the one that wants to ensure that people only consume products by and receive information from others that are like them. You are the one working so desperately to scapegoat one group and wants others to feel as threatened by those different than themselves. You are the one pushing hard to cram propaganda down a bunch of people’s throats.

Doesn’t that make YOU the FASCIST NAZI?

I’m pro death penalty in certain situations. you can’t be ALL one way then you’re a robot but you can try to stay within your own ethics.

Try, huh?
It’s okay for you to compromise on your own supposed ethics on something as critical as the taking of someone else’s life but it is unacceptable for those you oppose to even enjoy some music. Double standard really isn’t strong enough of a word here.

[b]Please tell me again how you aren’t being a fascist.

We’re missing the forest for the trees. I live in Wisconsin and I can confirm Paul Ryan is REALLY FUCKING STUPID.

Well by your rational that makes the allied forces bigger nazi fascists than the Nazi’s themselves because they came in and put a stop to Nazi bullshit. they shut down Nazi propaganda. They pushed their own American agenda and crammed it down the Nazi throats. They demonized the Nazi’s, they scapegoated the Nazi’s they segragated the Nazis from everyone else… everything you just accused me of can be accused of America because they were bigger and more bad ass.

As far as I’m concerned, people can, by all means, buy or do what they want, listen to what they want. that’s not the issue. What I have a problem with is conservative intolerance and greed. So, I’m intolerant of their intolerance. If that’s me dividing and scapegoating people then so be it.

but by abiding by your rational, slavery never would have ended and separate but equal never would have been smacked down because according to you, rallying against those things is segregating, scapegoating, and demonizing those that believe and want to perpetuate it.

Not really, If you have someone like Dahmer who has admitted to their atrocities then yeah, kill 'em. and I don’t mean some forced confession from the cops. I mean full on evidence, they admit to the crimes they show how they did it… then they are ripe for the chair and I wholly support it.

If they go to their grave denying they ever did anything wrong then I believe they should get the benefit of the doubt. No death penalty, but better safe than sorry lock em up perhaps at some point evidence will come along and prove their innocence and they will be set free. Can’t set someone free if they’re dead.

but it is unacceptable for those you oppose to even allow themselves to enjoy some music. Double standard really isn’t strong enough of a word here.

When did I say he “can’t” listen to this music?

It’s not that I won’t “allow” him/them to listen to and enjoy the same music as I, It’s more of “I can’t believe he does.” It’s more of “Does he not realize they are ridiculing his whole ideology? Does he not know they are calling him and his colleagues criminals, murderers, and monsters?”

Maybe I’m alone here but there is no way I could listen to music that, from start to finish, ridiculed all of the core values I believed in. No matter how catchy the beat, how slick the riffs, there is nothing that would/could make me like music set to Rush Limbaugh’s racist/sexist/misogynistic rants. And for a conservative that’s exactly what RATM music is. It’s fairness, justice, anti-greed, and anti-oppression rants set to music. All of the things conservatives hate and or call “hand outs”

Please tell me again how you aren’t being a fascist.

Just did.

BTW sorry about the scott walker effort. I was pulling for you guys. fairness in the work place loses again because of another conservative.

Oh, brother. This is why it’s hard to take your arguments seriously, Grumps. You’re screaming again about different schools of thought regarding government and policy as if it’s some ultimate black and white battle of good versus evil.

I guarantee you that both liberals and conservatives BELIEVE that fairness, anti-corruption, and anti-oppression are basic fundamentals of their parties or philosophies. They just disagree on what is needed to enable, achieve, or promote such values.

Disagreeing with enforced affirmative action hiring quotas or scholarship funds is completely different than “wantin’ to string up a buncha coons and hang 'em from a tree”.

And wanting underage girls’ parents to know when their daughters get an operation to have an abortion is very different than thinking “it’s okay to punch a bitch in the face because she can’t make a proper sandwich”.

This is why I’m, for the most part, apathetic about politics. You got two sides equally dogmatic about how right or wrong it is to privatize education or raise taxes or penalize criminals or some other stuff. They both believe their side is right and the other is wrong and therefore evil or stupid or something. I understand people’s passion for wanting things to go one way or another, but the whole black and white “us versus them” mentality of it all makes about as much sense to me as dogmatic religious fanatics killing each other because they have different beliefs.

Oh i agree with you with that both parties may think they believe in those things but only one party does everything consistently to try and destroy those values. Spend a sec listening to Fox news they do anything and everything to scaring the shit out of their base, lying, and distorting to achieve their end. Their end is seldom if ever just or fair. not to mention anyone with a itty bitty inkling of ethics knows that your ends never justify your means.

the repubs and the dems are not the same and I’m tired of that tired comeback

here’s a very simple example between democratic and republican behavior and if you think they behave the same after this then I don’t think there is anything I can tell you that will explain it any clearer:

the Dixie Chicks tell a concert crowd in Europe that they are embarrassed to be from Texas, the same state as W. The republicans lose their minds. Start calling for them to be excommunicated from the country, they should be brought up on treason charges. some right wingers were calling for their houses to be burned down.

Now cue 7-8 years later, another musician, Ted Nugent, has something disparaging to say about a sitting president, but instead of saying he was embarrassed of the pres. He called for the assassination of him, which actually is a crime. and he didn’t say it to a select concert crowd he said it on national television for all to hear… Cue the republican outrage in 3…2…1… crickets. "oh that Nugent he’s just a great american exercising his first amendment. Only he wasn’t, he was breaking the law.

did the left call for him to be brought up on treason? nope. Now, they asked how come he wasn’t brought up on charges because it is against the law to threaten the presidents life even if he is a democrat.

So this “both sides do it” is bullshit. It’s called a false equivalence. the longer people keep equating both sides as equal, the repubs can keep upping the ante because they are bringing the Dems right there with them whether the dems do it or not.

Disagreeing with enforced affirmative action hiring quotas or scholarship funds is completely different than “wantin’ to string up a buncha coons and hang 'em from a tree”.

If these were the only differences I would agree with you.

And wanting underage girls’ parents to know when their daughters get an operation to have an abortion is very different than thinking “it’s okay to punch a bitch in the face because she can’t make a proper sandwich”.

LOL??? what are you talking about? I’d want to know if my under-age daughter got an operation… wtf?

This is why I’m, for the most part, apathetic about politics. You got two sides equally dogmatic about how right or wrong it is to privatize education or raise taxes or penalize criminals or some other stuff. I don’t see it as black and white as this ,and I suppose that proves your point about what your saying. If everything was as topical as you’re making it out then I could see your point but its not.

Shouldn’t you applaud the conservatives who turned their backs on the Dixie Chicks after they spoke out against the President? I mean . . . they were staying true to their beliefs after all, right?

And what about the Ramones? I don’t know if you like their music or not, but how do you handle that one? Johnny was a hard core conservative. Do you flip through and skip any of the songs he wrote, or does it not count since he’s dead?

We’re missing the forest for the trees. I live in Wisconsin and I can confirm Paul Ryan is REALLY FUCKING STUPID.

Winnar.

lowelly’s also pretty winnar.

The fact that one of the key factors in this guy’s inability to be Mittens’ VP being his taste in music is the winnarest thing of all.

Shouldn’t you applaud the conservatives who turned their backs on the Dixie Chicks after they spoke out against the President? I mean . . . they were staying true to their beliefs after all, right?

Not really the point I was making. I would expect nothing less from someone’s values. But they claimed to be outraged because they respect the office when that clearly isn’t the case.

And what about the Ramones? I don’t know if you like their music or not, but how do you handle that one? Johnny was a hard core conservative. Do you flip through and skip any of the songs he wrote, or does it not count since he’s dead?

I don’t own any ramones, not a big fan. I find their music dull. Didn’t know about johnny’s leanings. Just adds to the ease of not liking them.

but I think you’re missing the point of the thread. If johnny was a conservative, well, okay, it doesn’t come out in his music, he’s not out using his $$ to spread wing nutterey. Same with Mustain to a not so lesser extinct. If they’re dudes with opinions then fine, and I like them a little less but they are entitled to their opinions and while I think they are wrong opinions I can’t so much, for lack of a better word, “fault” them for that. but when they become activists that’s a different story and there is no doubt in my mind and yours, I’m sure, that RATM, are activists. So for anyone with a strong set of values, how could a republican enjoy or support RATM, just the same way I can’t enjoy or support Nugent, as a liberal. I would be stupid to do so.
Late,
grmpysmrf

I understand your position, but I certainly don’t subscribe to it. I have political values and beliefs but I don’t let this become so life defining and self-consuming to the point where it impedes every facet of my life.

Also, rather than walling myself in a protective little box and keeping myself shielded from ideas and mindsets different than mine, I actually prefer to expose myself to such thoughts and ideas. It will either help me wrestle through my own convictions to become more confident in them or, perhaps I will discover something new or discover a fresh perspective that I had not considered before.

I understand your position for yourself, but I disagree with you expecting others to follow the same narrow-minded path and I think it is foolish to label people as stupid simply because, unlike you, they have the ability to compartmentalize their music (or film, writing, painting, etc.). tastes separately from their political stance.

What, because RATM are liberals and disagree (likely) with everything Paul stands for?

So what? I’m not going to turn Muslim because I dig Cat Stevens, and just because I dig Megadeth doesn’t mean I think Obama planned the murders of 72 Batman fans. It is completely possible to like bands and music without giving a rat’s ass what their politics are.

Unless you just mean he’s stupid because he likes Rage Against the Machine . . . in which case, yeah, I totally agree.

I see what ya mean!

I think it’s different with Rage Against The Machine, though. Every lyric every word every performance is spewing with their anti-establishment beliefs. RATM is straight forward with their views and they don’t hide behind metarphors. They just spit it out.

Surely when Paul Ryan is listening to “Know Your Enemy” and hears “WHAT THE LAND OF THE FREE? WHOEVER TOLD YOU THAT IS YOUR ENEMY” if that doesn’t tick him off, then he’s probably retarded, seeing as he’s looking to be a top tier leader of this country. Maybe some people just don’t hear the message when they listen to music idk.

There’s that too. Or people hear what they wanna hear.

How many Fourth of July or Americana parades or festivities have you seen which proudly blast out “Born In The USA” (Springsteen) or “American Woman” (The Guess Who)?

Yeah, and their stupid for it. I think it was Bush I that wanted to use it for his first campaign until someone informed him that it’s not a pro America song. Also the lyrics are a little hard to understand too except for the chorus, Unlike rage where you understand every bit of his lyrics.

HAHA!!! NO ONE wants to rock out with Ryan.

You tell him, Dee!!!
http://music.msn.com/music/article.aspx?news=752406

It was Reagan that was using “Born In The USA” until Springsteen told him to stop.

Heart told Sarah Palin to stop using “Barracuda”.
