if they were playing near me i’d be half tempted to go and try try to get Barker to sign my DSOTM booklet I got Al to sign where he crossed out Paul’s face. getting Paul’s retaliation on it would make it truly complete.

they’re not though and would be too costworthy/hassle since i’m not into Puscifer.

Going to the 17th in riverside

I caught one of the LA shows a couple weeks ago. Was a good time.

When Maynard introduced the band members, Paul go the biggest response.

I drove up to a very snowy Prescott with a few friends last Monday to see them. Very good sound and performance, though the wrestling mash-up is pretty bizarre (and amusing). Paul received a very good ovation when announced. Their music is very much suited to his style of playing. As much as I had a good time, I think once was enough, and won’t be doing the Phoenix show next year.

1002

I missed the Terminal 5 NYC show because the tix were a bit pricey (imho) and I wasn’t that familiar with their music…

After getting up to speed and getting hooked on their new material a bit, I’m gonna try to see the Huntington show and support Mr. Barker. =P

Not going to the show despite a Detroit appearance. I’ve tried to get into Puscifer a few times to no avail.

I did notice that the video for The Remedy features Paul Barker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HivxFBB87-Y

Yeah, I’ve tried to like them, but honestly the only Maynard material I’ve ever really dug is the first Perfect Circle album, which struck my ears as the perfect blend of numetal and classic rock.

I was addicted to the first Puscifer album, but every one after that I liked less and less. I didn’t even get the new one - I listened, but it was just dull and passionless.

I liked the other APC album also…the one with the weird caterpillar on the chicks face(can’t recall the title right now)…you could hear a heavy The Cure influence on some of those tracks…

I don’t like albums, but I like songs here and there. “The Humbling River” and “Man Overboard” come to mind.

Numetal? Blasphemy.

The Thirteenth Step

I always considered APC as Tool for Dummies. I think their cover of “Imagine” is possibly the most boring song in the world and the fact that they have a greatest hits album when they’ve only released 2 albums in their entire career is hysterical. They’ve got a couple of cool songs, though.

More blasphemy.

Some people have no idea.

Some people have no taste.

There, I fixed it for you.

[:P]

Edit:

A Perfect Circle put out 2 great albums in their time. Which, incidentally, is how many great albums Tool has put out as well. I love their version of “Imagine”. But the Best of is a little silly, I’ll give you that.

… I love their version of “Imagine”. …

it’s creepy as all hell. the vibe it emits is nothing short of genius.
It’s definitely one of their top songs. I wouldn’t even consider it a cover with how different it is.

Not really a APC fan either though a few of the tunes they do are outstanding such The Noose and Counting Bodies…
