#20…lol.
WOW very cool setlist. Paul really stuck with the old school tunes…i guess wax trax is old school nowadays. How about your setlist Afra?
Maybe someone recorded this???
awesomeness. what is (Mistake)? why it’s “stainless LESS providers”?
Yeah sorry about the typos - I typed it up in 2 minutes with Fish. Great night - didn’t get to my place where we all crashed at 7am… We didn’t record it…
(Mistake) is where Paul was meant to play a different track than what he actually played.
No-one mentioned track #8 - that’s a 12 minute song Paul recorded recently - first time it was played outside the circle of his close friends.
it was a great night, thanks for your kindness afra, as always. you are a gentleman and a scholar.
there was even a “pit” for i will refuse.
mistake. classy
A picture of Barker and I:
Fish took more - we’ll put them up…
Nice. Glad Paul lost the porn-facial hair.
I mentioned his new song on “that other forum” - I’m very curious to hear it! Hopefully it’ll be released eventually. Great pic, Fish.
Hey Afra - how did your set go?
I think Catgoat put it best when he described Paul’s song as: " dark, sludgy, overdriven bass.".
My set was good - it was myself, Fish and Kamar up there sharing the selections and what to play next etc. For the first hour, when the club was empty, we played the stuff that we normally wouldn’t play (Synapscape, Noisex, etc) but then catered to the crowd as more people came in. We didn’t write down what we played but it included God Module, KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, Ministry (Burning Inside), Revco (Something Wonderful), Combichrist, etc. The regular industrial stuff. We were just having fun.
I then introduced Paul on the microphone and away he went. He was originally going to go on from midnight to 3am but he had a lot of fun and closed the place out (5am).
Oh, the night was geared for a wax trax! theme, which is why Paul played a lot of that. On the TVs we had Wax Trax! video playing as well as a Front 242 DVD. Paul chose the movies THX and Space Odyssey 2001 to play while he DJed.
I think Catgoat put it best when he described Paul’s song as: " dark, sludgy, overdriven bass.".
awesome. that’s what i’m sort of expecting from his “much more song orientiered album”!! good news overall, thanks afra! paul looks older but somehow younger in this pic than in animositisomina sessions. very nice pic.
yeah…cool pic, looking forward to more.
Great pic, Fish.
someone else took that one. that’s actually me in the far background of that pic. the ones i took should be up later on. i got a bunch of paul, although i’m certain he was sick of camera flashes by the end of the night.
What a great night, both Afra and Paul’s sets were awesome and so much fun to dance to!
Very big thanks to Afra and Fish for their hospitality!
It was alot of fun rocking out with you guys.
The best time Catgoat and I have had at Neo.
- Paul Barker - Perfect Pair
Perfet Pair… Is it an allusion to the golden era ?
Sounds like a good setlist to me.
Why was China Girl a mistake?
