Ouch! what’s wrong with Ibanez? Ibanez Kick ass, I have several. They have thinner necks and the stock Pickups have more sustain than some After market pickups.

Um…I think I’ve got an Ibanez bass around here someplace. I’ve really got nothing against any guitar. But as a confirmed Tele player…it seems to me that Ibanez is on the completely opposite side of the specturm. Tele’s are generally strung with heavy strings and you really have to dig in, but can get just about any tone you like. Most other guitars seem one dimensional to me, even Strats.

i also love tele’s - but,m i’ve never had the luxury of owning one.
ibanez - not so much. grmpy, its nothing personal… it just like claiming who your fav bands are. its a strong statement.

I realize also that a lot of players like Marshalls. But as soon as you plug any guitar into a Marshall it just sounds like the Marshall. Fender guitars and Fenders amps are made for each other. Note that Marshall doesn’t make guitars.
I’ve used the Tele/Marshall combo a few times, mostly because the backline was already in place and while it’s a gas to do once in a while…it completely obliterated the Tele’s tones. I’m a Fender guy. A lot of players don’t think that Tele’s have a heavy or thick tone. But LZ 1 was recorded entirely with a Tele and nothing sounds heavier than that record.
