i have some questions regarding this tune. why was it left out off the “filth pig” album? on bridge stone benefit VIII concerts al clearly says “this one is off our new album, it’s called paisley”, maybe there is some info why they didn’t include it? also - what is it about and what does ‘paisley’ mean?
well, paisley is just a pattern used a lot on wallpaper or old hippy clothes, and even some fender guitars (which actually used this wallpaper)… there’s no real way of describing it, but if u saw it, u’d instantly recognise it. try type it in on google image search

We don’t really know. Probably because it didn’t fit the vibe of the LP… who knows.

Anything would have been better than Useless. I blame Skinny’s obligatory need to have a track of his on a Ministry album,to muddy up an otherwise terrific album. What’s worse is that it is nearly 6 minutes long!

Meh for once I agree with Deadguy, although his constant use of the term “skinny” to refer to Barker is fucking annoying.
“Useless” is by far the weakest track on Filth Pig. The vocals are so-so but the music is just boring, with nothing to really make it stand out.
Just a boring hard rock tune…nothing challenging or interesting about it.
That being said, I have yet to hear “Paisley” and I’m really interested because Filth Pig is probably my favorite Ministry album.
Is the only available version the acoustic one from that benefit or whatever?

funny you say that, because 70% of the album use same notes and some tracks are even slower (gameshow).
i don’t think there is any weak track on filth pig… if only they made some songs 1 min shorter and shove paisley on the album it would be greater than it is.

Not going to get into it, I shoulda shut it… I just don’t dig the song. However, I am a big big fan of “Vex + Siolence”… what a killer tune.
Pasiley…now that’s a track I love! Would be great if Ministry did more tracks in this style. TRIPPYYYYYY, or as trippy as they got.
