No way! I’d have less to bitch about W if he were a good speaker. Don’t care if you’re reading cue cards or making it up as you go along (Hello W), or going from blue note cards, as long as you can express yourself accurately. If you are going to be a leader you have to be a speaker. How can you lead if you can’t express yourself articulately?
If I were to get petty on Obama, I would complain about how much he stutters. If he really is a teleprompter guy, he shouldn’t be doing that. Although, I let Obama’s “uuhuuuhuuuhs” and “longer than normal pauses” slide for now, because he doesn’t sputter out sentence fragments or made up words!
In order to be a good leader you have to know how to speak, because that is what conveys your message. If you can’t speak you are a useless leader!

Perhaps a smidgeon. But when compared to the horrific waste of taxpayer money Cheney, Rumsfeld and no-bid contracts to Halliburton, etc. have been, it doesn’t seem too bad at all. It actually seems like money well spent. I guess it depends on your perspective.
I think it’s a common thing to have a few people doing the speech writing for the prez…

Just part of the story…
According to the Telegraph, the new photos depicted much more serious abuses than previously documented. One photo reportedly showed an American soldier apparently raping a female prisoner and another was said to show a male translator raping a male detainee, the paper reported
Quite disturbing! I wonder if those troops in the pics are gonna be prosecuted or if they are the same people who have already been prosecuted.
