Attended my first NIN show at the Metro in melbourne last night. Awesome. Really can’t remember what was played (I was completely straight/sober, just can’t recall all of the songs), I know they opened with You Know What You Are,

More I think… played for a bit over an hour. trent was really apologetic for cancelling the last two shows in sydney (or postponing them I should say), and seemed in a good mood, help me I am in hell went on for AGES and at the end he made a quip like “thats what you get for using computers to make music”
whatever the song was before only (wish or gave up I think), TR threw his guitar accross the stage, (lots of thrown stuff, yay) then when they started playing only, his guitar had no sound,
“this is the broken guitar remix of “only” I basically play until it works, could be minutes, could be hours” after a few min “looks like it could be hours”
At the end though he threw a diva, he was playing hurt, layed about half, then stops and goes “what the fuck are you saying? … am I supposed to stand here and pretend I cant hear some asshole yelling shit at me, what is it?” some yelling
tr:“thats it, it’s over”
which was met by a MASSIVE boo BY the crowd… the rest of the band came back out played the hand that feeds, then left… no encore, lights came up, music started playing… and that was it… so ended on a bit of a down note, but I really enjoyed it, the metro was a really good venue for it imo, sounds was great, i didnt get down into the thick of it, not really into the mosh anymore, but i was standing behinf the bar, and for most of it had a nice clear view. Haha… i can’t remember which song but twiggy started everyone clapping their hands… seemed pretty funny for a nin concert… freese is a madman, looks like he enjoys being part of nin.
Thinking of getting a ticket to tomorrow nights show… hopefully can record more if i go again…
