Celtic Frost.
I always keep going back to Celtic Frost. Also can’t argue with Mercyful Fate.
Early Metallica and Slayer are always favourites - especially Ride The Lightning.
Kinda like Voivod too. I guess you could call them old skool.

Celtic Frost.
I always keep going back to Celtic Frost.
One of my favorite metal bands way ahead of their time in terms of sound and theatrics. To Mega Therion, and Into The Pandemonium are pretty epic, the symphony elements really complement the music well. It makes me think of Basil Poledouris’ score for Conan The Barbarian. Their last album was good, a return to form although I like to pretend that Cold Lake never happened. [:P]
I still have a soft spot for Iron Maiden especially the first couple of albums with Paul Di’Anno, and some Judas Priest.

I thought I read that years after the whole hair metal thing had died they confessed that only one band member actually even went to church and that they drank and did drugs and banged groupies.
