OH NO!!!!

Hipsters the world over are crying into their imported beers and trendy alcopops…

The world as we know it has now forever changed.

I am putting on my EVOL cd in memorium.

Kill Yr Idols indeed!!!

<sobs>

As much as I like Sonic Youth, they’ve kind of been going through the motions for the past eight years. Murray Street was the most “out there” thing they’ve put out, really.

I know they have it in them, to get back into some sort of other realm. I don’t want a Bad Moon Rising II, but let’s start somewhere!

Devastated.

Alternative is already a bastardized term. Now it’s just going to die.

Now would be the right time for them to call it a day.

Maybe Kim couldn’t handle Thurston’s black metal / noise fascination.

I’ll probably give EVOL a spin later out of respect.

As opposed to tearing down your EVOL poster?

[laugh]

Point, Dildo.

This just in, the pabst is now flying off the shelves. Honestly, they’ve been hit or miss with me since Dirty. And the bulk of my least favorites just so happen to be the ones with Kim…

I don’t care to see Backstreet BOYS who are fully grown middle-aged men.

I don’t care to see NEW KIDS on the Block when they’re neither new nor kids.

And I don’t give a crap about SONIC YOUTH who are hardly sonic nowadays and haven’t been youth for about 40 years.

I’m not hip enough to appreciate unintended irony when it just seems sad and embarassing.

But were you ever a fan in the first place?

Somehow, I can’t picture you getting into a band like Sonic Youth.

Daydream Nation / Sister / EVOL / Goo = WIN!

Yeah, I was a bit of a fan. I really liked “Daydream Nation” and “Goo” and sort of remember some other earlier stuff. But then I just stopped caring about anything later and their T-shirt designs were crap.
