A dog?? really?? a dog?? Let the poor bitch go! [:/]
Late,
grmpysmrf

That’s a silly fundraising concept because if the dog has cancer it is most likely old so, as grmp says, let him/her go. Dogs obviously don’t operate the same way as humans, they don’t reserve hope believeing they will get better, they will just feel like shit. Chemotherapy for a dog (esp. $5,000) is pointless, one would be better off raising money for a dog shelter or something. And dogs are like old people, if you start to mess around with them, they don’t last jig time. I love dogs, have one myself. He’s 13 and has cancerous lumps (benign), he’s still doing ok but I know he’s winding down and I accept that. I’d never expect other people to cover a vet bill for me either, which is what the case is here.

My parents dumped over $3,000 into cancer treatments for their 11-year-old golden retriever, only to see the dog die from cancer anyway. That dog’s not going to have a good quality of life going through chemo, $5K is just going to allow him to suffer longer.

Not the best of causes, but still… YAY REVCO.

Also, MUGEN? Really?

so that’s where the hair comes from

My aunt’s boston terrier got cataracts in his eyes at age 13, started going blind…she actually paid for some surgery that used this weird vaccuum to suck the cataracts out. He was ok…for about a week or two.

Animals just aren’t as strong as humans think. It’s not always easy…

this is not funny, but viva should suck it up and plant something in the dog’s honor.
(i didn’t even know viva was still alive)

She’s still dominatrixing, last I checked. With all due respect to her, couldn’t that kind of thing take care of the bills? It’s not exactly the most mainstream, legitimate profession…

not to be mean or anything, but this whole fundraiser angle conjures up images of old maids pumping money into the care of their dogs because they don’t have kids.
dogs don’t hang around too long, and some breeds have all kinds of tumours and other problems.
