Hmm, so most of my favourite players are in the playoffs now (Ovechkin, Pronger, Selanne, Jagr, Modano, Barnes, Rolston, Gionta (well, now gone), Getzlaf, etc, etc. I’m more of a player person than a team but I would love to see NY and Montreal in the Eastern Conference final (won’t be as cool as the NY and Vancouver '94 final - best series ever in my opinion - remember the riots?), but would probably be close. Both sides are extremely passionate. Talking of passion (or lack thereof), Washington Capitals - so demoralized right now. A shame.
The Dallas and Anaheim series I’m into the most. I hope Dallas make it further than the first round (lately they can’t seem to).
Yeah we went to game 2 where Anaheim got demolished in the 3rd!! Damn Jiggy sucks!! he is single handedly LOSING these games for the Ducks! I wish they would put Hiller in! I think their back up is way better than jiggy. I wished they would’ve kept Brizgolov and shipped Jiggy over to phoenix.
Watching the series right now. Dallas just scored to pull within one, 2-3.
If the Ducks get knocked out with the Devils in the first, I don’t really care who wins the cup…I’ll just hang onto to hockey as long as I can until it comes to the end of the season and I have to wait until next season. If it wasn’t for Scott Neidermayer I wouldn’t know any players or care for Anaheim in the least. but since that is where the mr. Neidermayer plays Anaheim has become the adopted west coast team. although Ms. grmpysmrf absolutely adores them!

Anaheim always puts on a good show - they are talented as hell and honestly, if they make it far into the playoffs, I will not be surprised. They are just a consistent team and I don’t think Jiggy is that bad - when he’s consistent, he is consistent. His defense crumbled too that game and the offense slipped.

Yeah, 5-2!! I honestly thought they were going to get swept! You know, I’ve never been impressed with jiggy I think he’s an average goalie, I’ve always thought that and i don’t know where his hype came from. I think the goalie needs to be the best defensive player on the ice which he clearly is not (ducks just just won) I think he’s just a fan fav. although i couldn’t tell you why.
Which is why i like brodieur so much, even with neidermayer and notably stevens he was still the best defensive player on the devils which is impressive considering the skills of those two. Jiggy’s defensive line generally wins games for for the ducks. if they go to shoot-out out, chalk up the loss!

how about that hit turko put on selani at damn near the blue line??? more impressive is the defensemen that blocked selani’s shot on the empty net!!! damn that was great and it’s shit like that that makes me like hockey in general…I also think the stars are going to knock the ducks out so i’m ptetty sure you’re gonna get to see dallas make it to the second round…the ducks just don’t look good in these playoffs. I’m sure having neidermayer and selani come in mid year doesn’t help. I guess i’m first to jump on jiggy cause i don’t think he’s all that great but really all of the lines are just …lazy … not gelling … I can’t put my finger on it but what ever it is the offensive line is making turko look phenominal!! and he’s a decent goalie but jeese he seems like super goalie!!
