Nursing Home covers The Cure

After months of recording, mixing and mastering, I am very proud to unveil Nursing Home’s cover of The Cure’s 1979 debut single “Killing an Arab”.

The personnel are as follows:

Justin Symbol - vocals, programming, samples
Andrew Sanzo - guitar
Baba Yaga - keyboard

Visit www.myspace.com/nursinghomeband to hear the song and download the mp3.

Sounds rather MM-ish for me but it’s very entertaining for that style. The quality of your sound production has gotten a lot better, it shows you put work into this one.

I think you guys did a good job with this cover, the production is much better than some of your earlier stuff. It retains a lot of the feel of the original, but as if it was force fed through a side show carnival organ. I like it.

Thanks guys. I too think this is a big step up in our production and musicality. More to come!

More feedback please!

EDIT: MM-ish? Green Death are you sure you’re not just saying that because you know I’m a fan?

Yeah this is the best thing I’ve heard of your stuff so far. Production has got better certainly. This would be good fun live I would assume. I think the MM comparisons come with the vox. But well done on this. Can we download this or what’s the score? I don’t use myspace so I’m not sure.

P.S. Commiserations on the decapitation

You should be able to download it from the myspace page but if not here:

This is the 320 kbps mp3. I’ll save lossless for when you send me a dollar in the mail. Isn’t that how the music industry works now?

Hey.

Hey…

That was actually really cool. Reminded me of Bad Acid Trip.

Then it got me listening to the rest of yer shit on yer myspace.

It too sounded better for some reason.

Now get rid of those silly halloween photos and you’ll be rich, famous and drinking champagne off the small of Stoya’s back…

HEY!

ADDED. [;)]

I like it too. Good ideas and well done.

Maybe some influences are too obvious in some parts but you’re in the good way.

The visuals aren’t really for my taste too…
