i’m not impressed. i’ll prolly still buy the record, but only because of my NIN fandom from the past. he seems to be performing his older songs well, although i thought the rework of closer was a bit…different.
Umm, its ok i guess. “You know what you are” sounds like it could be cool (judging from the bootleg). But alot of it just doesnt seem to reach out and grab you. Its just kind of missing something. Granted, this is judging from the teasers and an OK quality bootleg and might end up being a moot point. I just don’t know if it was right of Trent to hype it up as Broken pt. 2 or whatever he was saying. So far it hasn’t sounded like something nearly as visceral.

in fairness, he said no such thing, and that was mostly speculation from the fans’s part.

Just came up a day or two ago on Easytree in case any of you are grabbing these. Just wanted to pass the word along.
I’m grabbing it as we speak. At least I’ll know the songs when I see them next month and don’t have to act like all the stupified masses that won’t know half the songs on the mini-tour. =)
Ok, I heard the whole thing and I can say that I was actually fairly pleasantly surprised. Dont get me wrong - this is no groundbreaking record and Trent isnt treading any new water. What it is is a pretty ENJOYABLE record. Although there is some filler, I can say that most of the tracks are simply well written, memorable ‘industrial’ rock songs. Oh well, I will listen to the album some more and see if my opinion changes…
