He’s obviously excited, but he and the interviewer bring up the logical questions of why he’s getting in when many of the people that influenced him still aren’t. But I guess sheer popularity has as much to do with who they choose as actual importance.

I doubt Richard and Chris will be part of the ceremony, as they were never official members. Chris has been there since the beginning though, having played in some of the pre-NIN bands as well.
Rumor has it that Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder will be reunited with Depeche Mode for the ceremony, super stoked to see that.

I’m sure he’s trying to delete any trace of himself before he gets in trouble at work or wherever, I’m sure he was dumb enough to post at work, but if they haven’t caught him yet… they probably won’t.
what he doesn’t realize is that the truly horrible shit he posted was quoted by myself and others in our responses to his truly horrible shit. So the dumb fucker can erase his posts but his quotes are intact for all to see.

I don’t know why he’d care about that. It’s really silly. I mean, I assume he doesn’t go by the name DJ Pon-3 at work. And this is a pretty small and obscure collective of people overall. I could totally understand if he had a large visible platform using his real name or people recognized him and such, but unless he’s getting Space Force level clearance with all the deep background investigations and such, why even bother? And regarding any of us who were there to see it all . . . . sure not everyone (maybe not even anyone, haha) agrees with all his stuff, but we’re all relatively in the same boat, I think, in terms of preferring to keep our “Prongs life” separate from our work life, family life, etc.
I seriously doubt there’s any such element to it, but I’ll go ahead and repeat it. If there actually is anyone fucking with the guy outside the board and/or bringing such bullshit across lines and giving him legitimate concerns and validity for such paranoia, just fuck right off with that cowardly bullshit. Go jerk off online with the Call of Duty kids or something instead. I like to assume (perhaps it’s idealistic hope) that Prongers are at least a class above that type of wretched shit.
I don’t think anybody here would dox him or report him… Hell, I don’t think anyone knows where he works to do any of that. It’s just not worth anybody’s time… and that says a lot since we have a lot of time now.
When I was mentioning his work finding out, like if he was posting at work, I was talking about audits that management does. “Let’s look at the history of websites DJ visits… Oh, so, he visits a non work related site and posts as someone named DJ… . Let’s see what he posts … Oh my.”
My work can track our individual browser history. I imagine other jobs do as well. I can’t imagine HR being very happy with anything he has posted here if they were to stumble onto it. That being said, I wouldn’t rat him out. It’s my job to point out he’s an asshole here on the board, not in real life.
However, I will say, I absolutely loathe the guy. I never really hated or disliked anybody on the board, and I used to try to see a bright spot in him with his silly one liners but the amount of disease that would spew out of him is not worth the occasional chuckle he would offer. I ain’t buying him a beer, I ain’t pulling over to help him change a tire but I’m also not turning him in for speeding, or telling on him for calling in sick when he’s not.
The dude lives in misery and he tries to bring others down so he can have some company, I suppose. Nobody needs to add to his misery in real life.
