Not surprised by Finck’s inclusion. It’s a good thing regardless. Hope it doesn’t necessarily change the “new” approach that was indicative with Belew’s inclusion. But my guess is Finck will help transitional elements or bridge anything new with the older NIN which many fans will still want to see.

Feeling much better about this now that Robin is back in. I’ll definitely be taken a trip back home to Cali to see them. But honestly I’d rather just hear some new fucking music.
I’m dying for a new NIN album. It’s been like five years now. Same amount of time between TDS and TF. I guess the difference now is he’s got a family to spend time with, whereas between TDS and TF and WT he was busy getting drunk/high and trying to kill himself.
I think the other big difference is that he’s put out two soundtracks, and two EPs plus an album from a side project. 1994-99 was a barren time; this has not been.

Good point. He hasn’t just completely dropped off the face of the earth like he has in the past. But I still want some new NIN, damn it.
He’s been incredibly active since 05. Considering the gaps from 94-99, and 99-05, I don’t think anyone can really complain anymore about the lack of anything. He toured almost nonstop for five years, released four NIN albums over the course of four years. And when he put down NIN, he went right back to work on HTDA and soundtracks. Hardly a slacker these days.
I just hope for the next NIN album, that the current tour lineup has an involvement.

I wanna hear a new NIN album. One of the few artists/bands where when an album is released by them I take time, fuck it all, and sit and listen to the whole record all the way through.
I just want new NIN music. Sure, he’s been prolific as fuck with other cool stuff but NIN has been on the backburner and the only reason I care about anything else he does is because of NIN. But I get what you mean.
