Great stuff I gotta admire how he pulled that off and the payoff getting them on Hard Copy. The funny thing is that show was way more scummy than anything NIN tried to portray in its day, total sensationalist reporting on steroids ala Natural Born Killers.
Reflecting on that, it’s kind of interesting how NIN have become more recognized for its marketing, subliminal (Broken movie, Hard Copy feature, Year Zero campaign) or direct (MTV, film score features) than their actual sales made him/them…also, see Tool
