NIN and QOTSA… well I’m not into NIN that much but QOTSA? Hell yes!

I saw QOTSA a few weeks ago - what an awesome show. Them and part of Interpol.

If you can, go and see them, even if you don’t like nin. QOTSA will make it up to you. Very awesome show - they were top form.

I remember seeing QOTSA a few years ago. The best show I’ve ever seen. Hands down. For the majority of the set they had this bright strobe light that looked like some road construction equipment right next to Nick on stage flashing with the beat. Made the thing so much more intense. Of course, back in that day they had 4 singers they switched out with which made the show even better. Nowadays they’re much more laid back without Nick Oliveri’s input. Still great though.

I’d like to see Autolux. That’s Ken Andrews’ new band (ex-Failure). Failure should’ve stuck around longer, good band.

Queens is a much better choice for opener/sacrificial lamb than that pack o dickeaters the Dresden Dolls.

Anybody who has metal roots with Kyuss is ok even tho Kyuss is hippie stoner desert rock.

He shoulda asked Phil Anselmo and Superjoint to open so Phil could insult all the fagular goth kids in the front row. I’d pay to see that. Phil has a bad back so he always acts like a grouchy drunk retard on stage.

Yeah, because, you know - the stereotypical Pantera fans are classic examples of what human society should be

Give me the goths over the Joe Sixpacks and their trashy wives at a concert anyday. I’d rather see chicks in fishnets and skirts rather than dudes with mullets in wife-beaters holding a can of Budweiser shouting “fucking hostile!”. But that’s just me…

Personally I don’t have a problem seeing any of them. =)

And thanks for the heads up 1002. I didn’t know Autolux was a Ken Andrews thing. That makes me really excited to see them. I loved Failure, fell even more in love with ON, and I can’t wait to hear what Autolux sounds like. Do they have anything out yet?

Peace!

Krowe

yep Afra, I’m in love with the gothgirls too!

Krowe, my bad, Autolux is actually GREG EDWARDS of Failure, not Ken Andrews. I’m thinking one name and typing the other. Silly me.

Also, they have a release out called “Future Perfect”, and you can hear sound samples of the whole album on Amazon:

Can’t we all get along? Have the guys screaming fucking hostile, but make sure they leave their wives at home and bring the chicks in fishnets instead. It’s win/win!

I think anyone who got involved in any goth scene for any reason other than ladies, needs to forfeit their status as a man.

they just posted more dates.

Including a MTL show. excellent.

saw them last night here in Glasgow at the manky Barrowlands.

saul williams supported, very impressed, said things i’ve been wanting to hear, this guy is up there with chuck d, paris, biafra. good tracks too (black stacy, list of demands, and a track i know not the name of)

nin, excellent performance, full of energy.
trent has discovered the tambourine, which he threw into the crowd, as well as a mic which was grabbed by a kid who got to scream for a few seconds, and the guitarist stage dived too - dude! have some respect for our safety rules! [:)]

Have they played Happiness In Slavery live yet? I would fucking love to hear Jeordie White (Twiggy) play that with them, hes got a unique bass sound that would go well with the sweet bass part on that song. [cool]

Not yet. They’ve been sticking to a pretty standard setlist the whole tour, with very little in the way of surprises. It was a shock when they decided to start playing Dead Souls on the last two dates of the US Mini tour, but that’s become pretty much a staple in the setlist since then.

the only cool addition is “the only time” part in the middle of “closer”.

Yes, that is cool, but they’ve been doing that for almost the whole tour, man.

yea i know. they’ve said “wait for alot of surprises” but really they have 2 or 3 stable variations of the setlist.

and some songs start out bit different etc like march of the pigs starts off with a bass loop
