NIN - Atlanta 5/22 - Anyone going?

I’m going. Just wondering if anyone else on the board is going to be there cuz I’d love to hook up with some of my fellow Prongers to destroy the Tabernacle. =)

Peace!

Krowe

P.S. - Anyone got any ideas/tips or anything on how I might be able to bootleg this show (i.e. equipment, tips for positioning, etc)… Thanks!

have a good time. I know you will - we certainly did…there are a few prongers who live in atlanta i think…

yea…great show…check out the opening act…not the greatest but worth a shot. they consist of a piano player & drummer. they played a killer cover of war pigs & they did a radiohead tune ( jerome played drums) too.

the dresden dolls… i’ve actually seen their “coin operated boy” video on MTV2’s subterranean a couple times, so they are getting bigger i guess. they didn’t play any radiohead in chicago although they put on a better performance than i expected for a 2 piece band. you’ll have a good time, nin was great.

look out for two chicks handing out 2 track promos of the dresden dolls…i got one. [tongue]

the band were also signing them by the merch booth after the cds were handed out in chicago.

Yeah, I’m going. I’ll be the guy in the yellow plastic raincoat, standing at the back holding a ‘Give Jesus A Chance’ placard over my head. You can’t miss me.

I’m one of them, but I went on Saturday. Good show, but I’m glad my girlfriend paid eBay prices for the tickets instead of me!
As for Dresden Dolls, I’d love to see them in a really small, intimate venue. Even the Tabernacle was just too big for the kind of music they were doing.

You should have seen it last night man. The crowd was WAAAY into the sets and even The Dresden Dolls and Trent said we were the best crowd they had seen yet. The Dresden Dolls put on a hell of a show for it just being those two people, and Trent was on his game last night. Great stuff. I can’t remember the exact setlist but I know that NIN stared with Wish and ended with Head Like A Hole… Reptile and Closer (To The Only Time) was played… Love Is Not Enough, The Hand That Feeds, Piggy, March Of The Pigs, Suck, Gave Up and a few more songs. No Starfuckers, this time around. I wonder if anyone booted the show. I couldn’t get anything in but I saw a bunch of people taking pictures and holding little mics. =)

Peace!

Ok… Now that I’ve had time to recover a bit and get my head straight, here’s the setlist for any of you who care.

  1. Beside You In Time (intro over pa)
  2. Wish
  3. You Know What You Are
  4. The Line Begins To Blur
  5. March Of The Pigs
  6. Piggy
  7. Terrible Lie
  8. Burn
  9. Closer (To The Only Time)
  10. Reptile
  11. The Big Comedown
  12. Gave Up
  13. The Day The Whole World Went Away
  14. Suck
  15. Getting Smaller
  16. Even Deeper
  17. Love Is Not Enough
  18. Hurt
  19. The Hand That Feeds
  20. Head Like A Hole

Some great moments. During Head Like A Hole some guy climbed down from the baclony onto a PA stack and Aaron climbed up there and gave the guy the guitar to play a few licks then the fan bared his arse for us all and jumped. Awesome. =)

Mic messed up during March. Trent threw the mic intoi the crowd which of course went insane trying to get it. Mic tech ran out and gave Trent a new one and started to reel in the old one (thank god as I was at the bottom of that crap and thought I was going to die!) while Trent said "Let’s try this one now! STEP RIGHT UP!.. Very cool. =)

All in all it was one of the best shows I’ve been to in years.

Peace!
