Toronto will miss the playoffs for the third consecutive season.
And I am going to the game on Saturday to watch Montreal play the Leafs. This will be sweet.
(and much more enjoyable than the Ministry setlist… sorry had to put that in there).
I’m bummed, the Coyotes looked like they were making a run for the 8th spot about a month ago, but lost too many close games since, and are now out. Truth be told, no one in town expected them to do so well this season. Hockey fans here have been wanting another “Whiteout” for 7 years now.

That would be due to Brizgolov, a nice aquisition they got from Anaheim. I think Anaheim messed up HUGE and got rid of the better goalie. I would take Brizzy over Jiggy ANY DAY. Brizgolov is Russian for WALL. Jiggy is Canadian for average NHL goalie whose defensive line makes him look better than he is.
Ya’ think Gretzky will get the boot? isn’t this his 3rd losing year as coach? Better luck next year buddy!!
GO DEVILS!!

Yeah Toronto aren’t going to make it. Not surprising - they folded really easily this year and last. Totally different team than 3-4 years ago. Same with Sabres who are a totally different team than last year even. Philly, however, turned from being the last in rankings last year to being what they are now with little change in their roster so it can be done. Coach change may have worked in that example.
At least all those mentioned teams have had consistently good turnout to the games. Blackhawks have been doing very well in that department this year too.
I think Montreal will make it rather far this year.
