I’m excited, and Wayne Gretzky was jut named our coach today, so there optimism in the air here. I was just listening to Shane Doan get interviewed on a local sports show this afternoon. It’s good to have hockey back.

I can’t believe how Pittsburgh gets so lucky. Twice now, their franchise is haning on by a thread and they draft the best player in ages! Lemieux and now Crosby! Although, with the new sceme, Montreal may actually have a chance to get some good players. (or at least afford them…)
I’m hoping some teams will actually fold now. There are too many teams in the NHL these days. I think that ESPN cancelled their contract to broadcast games next season too. Smaller markets are screwed if that happens.
But all and all. I can’t wait either!
