So I just started playing - did nobody else notice the RevCo reference right there in the opening cinematic?
? I’ve seen it twice now. No clue.

There’s a place on the strip with a sign that says “Revolving Cokctails,” but it’s been defaced to read “Revolting Cocktails”.
Nice, I am looking forward to playing this one. I haven’t downloaded all of the add-ons for Fallout 3 yet, but The Pitt was really fun.
Yeah I saw the sign…thought of Revco too.
Totally missed the sign. Put the game down for a little while (until I finish Fable), then i’m starting off. Too far to really fix what I’ve done. Speech is very major, and shouldn’t be neglected at all.
I haven’t been able to play this game for more than 30 minutes in a row without it freezing completely.
Playing it now on hardcore mode… not gone really far yet.
Like this one more than Fallout 3, still miss the groinshots thou!
I loved in the first two games, shooting them in the eyes with something like the auto shotgun, haha, good times.
Played Fallout 2 more than almost any game ever. Yeesh. Great piece of work, that one. Played 1 a few months ago, and it simultaneously felt like a step down and a step up.
Played 3 once for like ten hours straight.
Been playing nothing but roguelikes for a while and New Vegas’ hardcore mode has me salivating.

had this problem with sacred 2. might be time to upgrade to the newer generation XBOX. That’s what we had to do in order to play the new sacred 2. although that was before the sleek new one came out.
Late,

I’m on PC.
But I was able to play for quite awhile this weekend with minimal crashes. I am forcing myself to save a lot more often than I did with Fallout 3, though.
There is definitely someone at Obsidian who’s a fan of RevCo, given the Revolting Cocktails sign and the Lucky 38 casino.
HAHA!!! That’s awesome!
Haha! I wouldn’t doubt it.
Not getting the RevCo references. But, if I remember right, there’s a member of the Obsidian crew who was a member of the Skatenigs. Or something.
I didn’t make the “38” connection until just now. Sweet.

I was wrong. I meant Steel Pole Bathtub.

Yeah, it took me a moment to pick up the Lucky “38” reference as well. As buggy as the game can get at times (the patch last week still doesn’t fix everything), Obsidian threw a lot of references to pop culture/sub culture items the like. So far, I’ve picked up on RevCo, Blade Runner and Monty Python easter eggs in the game.
Yeah, you have to pick the “Wild Wasteland” perk to get a lot of the Easter eggs, though. Which I think is kind of a shame - the silly elements were always part of the Fallout world, and it seems weird that they’re suddenly ashamed of them enough that you have to take specific action to include them in the game.
