Hmmmm…good to see some more Gristle on the horizon.
Everyone here (except grmpysmrf) should check out ‘The Third Mind Movement’ album which was available only at their recent shows. You can still snag a copy on ebay if you hurry. Soon it will be worth a small fortune.
Much more abstract than Part 2…but worth the effort in a big way.
Coil fans will LOVE it.
loved the 3rd mind movement. can’t wait for this new one.
Does Gen talk/sing a lot on 3rd Mind Movement? If not, I’ll track it down for sure.
Anyone listen to 32nd Annual Report? That has some very nice material on it, frankly I’m more excited to listen to it than the original 2nd Annual Report these days.

Don’t worry, I won’t.

Gen’s voice is buried beneath layers of digital enhancing - making it sound robotic and alien. You can hardly understand what he’s saying. It’s a great album though - a must for any Throbbing Gristle or abstract electronica fan. Much less organic sounding than the last one, which has gathered it some hefty criticism. But I quite enjoyed it.
Haven’t had the chance to listen to 32nd Annual Report - isn’t it, like, massively expensive???
I thought Third Mind Movements was a little disappointing, but the rest of the stuff they’ve done recently has been above par. I’m really looking forward to the Desertshore album next year (apparently). Thanks for posting this!
Shit. that comes as a real surprise. Wrapt to see the whole reunion has gone far beyond being a once-off
