new Scorn album: Refuse; Start Fires

this sounds pretty good! Hope to pick it up soon. Featuring live dubbed out drums (not by Mick, by a friend of his) as well as the wicked Scorn bass/atmospheres. Samples here:

Cool, always up for new Scorn.

Great cover too - the last couple of Scorn albums have had awful covers. What was the one with the fish on it?

Might pick this up.

I will definitely be picking it up, just have to get finances and priorities sorted out first. Being out of work sucks!

As for the fish cover, I think you’re thinking of the “Stealth” album, which I love. There was some really crappy fish artwork for that though.

Happy to hear Mick is keeping Scorn alive, he was contemplating this is going to be his last record. Alas, he’s working on a new e.p, possible US tour, new Lull(which I’m extra excited about) and a new DUB project!!

I’ve been meaning to snag some Scorn for the longest time. I’ll keep an eye out.

awesome!!

cover reminds me of Broken Note :Terminal Static (an amazing dubstep album mixing a bit ofmetal with drum n bass - dark heavy stuff)

!!!

That is a FANTASTIC cover. I think I need to pick up THIS record based on that alone.

Damn. Today’s been like musical Christmas.

I bought this album in 1997 when it was called Logghi Barogghi.

nah, Logghi sounded different than this. I’d say he started to get into this style a few albums after that. I’m quite a fan of Stealth, more than the previous records of when Scorn is strictly Mick. This new one sounds like a step ahead Stealth. for a really cool record though, check out the split of N.J Bullen/Bill Laswell right around the time Nic left Scorn.
