Pretty good I thought. He rightfully acknowledges the decent-ness of the early synth pop material while still appropriately laughing at how corny it is.
Although he makes himself out to be an ass by calling Twitch the “Al Jourgensen solo album”
The review of Land of Rape and Honey is good, and it’s obvious the guy has some biases against industrial electronics so his score of 9 is saying something.
As usual, he gives Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste a much higher rating than it deserves. But so does everyone so whatever.
He also has the good taste not to slag Filth Pig like the rest of the world did, but his comparisons between Filth Pig and Dark Side of the Spoon are questionable. Do these albums really sound alike? I don’t think so. But at least he didn’t totally write off Spoon as a shitfest like most people do.
Overall I think this guy’s got a good idea of who Ministry are and how each new record stacks up with the rest of the catalogue. Biases against industrial/electronics aside, he seems to write decent reviews of the albums.
