New REVCO VS Old REVCO

Maybe this should be the topic of a new Revco song: (skip in about 3 mins)

No “farming” in here, mate!

Yeah, it’s music. Disco dance club homo music.

Massive fan of Ministry and Revolting Cocks. The Cocks just epitomise for me that ‘less is more’ mentality, from the trance-y minimal techno of BSL to something like Beers Steers & Queers (the track) where they achieve so much with a few tastefully placed samples, “Gong hit… here, Guitar strum… here”. I have never been able to bring myself to listen to anything post-Linger Fickin’, partially because of what I have read here over the years and partly because of what Al did with the bush trilogy. So I can’t really comment but I guess I just did.

I want to see old RevCo fight new RevCo to… seriously. Old RevCock looks pretty damn tough compared to todays 80’s glam rock RevCock.

If you want to save yourself some heartache, it helps if you dont even think of it as RevCo

Worst anything ever.

i see the prospect of revco vs. old revco,
but has it ever occurried that very soon,
soonier than one might believe…
there will be a even newer revco?
with out al of course. except for an extra 100 bucks in 4 cities and of course those will be ny, la, el paso and chicago.
so what would the thread read then?
newer revco vs. new revco vs. a revamped revco with some old members vs. old revco
as far as im concerned without phildo and luc there isnt much revco left.
funny to think josh, sin and clayton have been in revco for 5 years which is longer than a number of the former members and we look at that as new.

Well Jerry Only, Dez Cadena, and Robo have been the longest most stable line up of the Misfits, but that still doesn’t make it right [;)]

In all seriousness though, I see what you are saying. This Revolving Cocks/Industrial Menuedo thing seems to have been the last straw for a lot of fans. Hopefully now that the ‘newer’ guys are apparently loose from the albatross of the Revco name (will they even tour for this next album???) they can move on. I do wish I could have caught one of the shows on the last tour, it looked like a good time from the videos I’ve seen.

josh, clayton, arron, merv and sin and excellent musicians and all around good guys, if they stay in that revco band or leave either way i think they are going to be very sucessful and continue to write some awesome music.

i am a big believer in cutting the umbilical cord.
