I like 2 albums from queensryche; operation mind crime and empire.
I absolutely detest promised land and pretty much stopped following them because of that album. I met chris Degarmo at McCarran Airport in vegas about 10 years ago. He was posing as a fan/road crew for the band (that’s how he introduced himself) and I didn’t put 2 and 2 together until well after I was home and searched out a current pic of him on the net.
I thought I heard a while back Geoff tate quit the band and started a new band called “Geoff Tate of Queensryche.”
No Chris no Geoff… any original members left?

not really a fan of Dokken but I just got the 81-91 CD from Ratt up in Spokane at 4000 holes record shop. I spent a 100 bucks on vinyl (2 samhain boots a mumford boot and the Marilyn manson boot I mentioned earlier) so the clerk didn’t even ring up the Ratt CD he said he’d throw it in free since I spent so much… I love indie places like that with awesome customer service.
we were there visiting my wife’s sister and her family for 5 days. 5 very long days… while gunnar was in vegas cracking that bitch open, I was spending 5 (F.I.V.E.) days in spokane…I like Ratt.

Yeah that’s how chris started talking to me. (quick version of the story) I was waiting for my buddy and his daughter. I was wearing a Slash’s Snakepit t shirt and this fellow rocker comes up and asks me if I knew who Queensryche was. I said I did and that I like empire and Operation but hated promised land and he said yeah the new direction isn’t that great as a matter of fact Chris just quit the band… and the conversation went from there. So, yeah, later that night I started thinking why would a member of stage lighting not be travelling with the rest of the roadies so I googled and low and behold … Well, he got a brutally honest earful from a former fan, which is what I think he wanted

That was intentional…they have been having a war in the press for months now…
