Some Messiahs deliver their Gospel, hang out for a long weekend & then leave the rest to the followers. The Lord Of The Lard calls on Ben Christo, Z.Marr, En Esch, Tim Skold, Marc Heal, Phil Barry, Mark Thwaite, Anita Sylph & Emre Ramazanoglu & gets to work on bringing glam to the damned. “Risen” is the unadulterated & driven sound of pure <PIG>, adorned only by the poetry Raymond Watts provides.

I really liked the last album. Pig is consistently good (even if there have been looooong gaps between albums), but this one was a big musical and lyrical evolution.
And the tour was amazing. It was just such a fun and almost celebratory vibe and they did a nice mix of old and new songs (I went bananas when they played Fountain of Miracles, but I was also really happy to hear a lot of the new songs live).
I’m really looking forward to the new album. And I’m eagerly waiting for tour dates!
The last EP which was released last summer was the best Pig release since Wrecked. Glad Raymond is getting so prolific at releasing stuff now. I will certainly grab a copy.
spoke to Raymond about it the other night at the 3Teeth gig in London, he seems pretty enthused by it. Might go and see him do the launch gig for it at the Black Heart, Camden. Also asked if he was getting involved in any of the new C-Tec stuff (since him and Marc Heal are best buddies), but that was a definite ‘no’.
