new nine inch nails albums out NOW

Neat.
I’ll buy the cds.
I’m a collector.

got it…sounds a little bit from the still cd. I agree as background music. Worth 5 bucks!

snagged the mp3’s off a friend, since my $5 official flac download blew the fuck up. =/ got a response from support today, waiting on a new download link due to server ‘issues’.

Got the one for 10, but wasn’t able to get anything from the site, so I ended up getting it from amazon. Kinda frustrating.

I ordered the $75 dollar cd set last night, only to find out, now that the site is back online, that there’s a $10 cd coming out in a month.
That better be one hell of a deluxe edition…

but to just release everything you did in a session? Not everything is probably good enough for us to hear

That is how i felt about The Fragile. i always thought it could have been a great 1 cd instead of an alright 2cd.

this was probably brought up somewhere else before, but in case people don’t know, they put up TDS instrumentals on remix.nin.com a month or 2 ago. i think the whole album is there except for ruiner and big man. so for those who don’t like trent’s whining it’s a good download to have.

Totally agree about the fragile, way too much filler. Would’ve made a great seven song EP. The lyrics are still pretty cringe inducing though even on the best songs.

another crappy shit credited by the name trent reznor.

dont pay for him a cent!!!
he is lauging at all of you!
he grab 750.000 bucks just after the delux orders…

Trent seems to be doing better now. And really!? Who would shell out a grand on that? IT seems really nice and everything, but I would never pay that. 300, by itself is pushing it.

They’re asking for $2,000. javascript:%20addTag(‘shocked’) Honestly, I’m sure those things are going to be worth a ton of cash so I rather wish I’d made the $300 investment.[shocked][shocked]

Yeah Trent sux but he’s good for a quick investment!

I didn’t even think about ebaying the $300 one. I ordered the $75 one before I realized a $10 version will be available. If it’s not super spectacular, I may auction the deluxe and get the regular.
As for the album itself - some of it reminds me of Quake, or Still, or The Fragile, or Year Zero. But overall, it reminds me of a mix-tape I made to listen to in the car of song ideas I was working on at the time. Just random fragments - some were pretty cool, but all were half-baked. I wish Trent had left these in the oven for 6 more months and come out a single album of finished songs instead.

Got the 36 songs. Apart from a few tracks (about 6 or 7 in total) its not very good. Certainly not as interesting as Still and not worth paying any more than $5 for. [mad][mad][mad] I think Trent is falling into a similar trap as Jourgensen and others have done before by trying to release new music quite quickly i.e. something new every year. That hasnt worked since the 1970s. Its better to wait a few years for new releases that are worthy instead of releasing everything youre rolling out when you get down to writing some tunes.

I’m liking it quite a bit. Been listening to primarily “Ghosts III” at the moment. It works well sectioning it into four smaller albums. All 36 tracks is a little overwhelming.

I don’t agree at all. I quite like it all. It’s all very reminiscent of everything from Fragile up to now. And I would pay more than 5 bucks for it. I like the fact that Trent is being more prolific and getting things out there. I know that a lot of bands screw this up but NIN and Jesu are two bands that can pull out as much as they want and never seem to let me down.

Peace!

“24 Ghosts III” is frickin’ amazing! Sounds like what Frontline Assembly would sound like if they were good.

it’s very interesting how this new “indie” status and online releases will develop themselves in the future and how fast/often will he be releasing new stuff.

i think he’s still testing this new way of releasing music that he started with that saul williams’ niggy tardust album.

apparently all 2500 copies of $300 ultra deluxe editions were sold out already very very fast.
