which is also strange because they said “over 80 minutes of music”, but it is split (i guess evenly) among 2 CDs, each CD being 40-45 mins?

if it’s about amount of albums released, would make sense to release 2 separate albums, another live release (or two, why not), or some hits compilation, etc
we will see what it is
It’s probably only slightly too long for a standard CD, so they’ll just do two shortish discs.

If that’s the best of the bunch or what they feel best represents the new coming album . . . . the new one will likely suck.
But . . . . METALLICA!!!
As long as they do a legit TOUR for this album, I’ll consider this all promising, though.
