Here’s the video for “War On Wisdom”…it’s hilarious.

“We Are Doomed” is the winner on the EP for me.
Scion?
Yeah it is some label that’s been around for a few years. I don’t really understand it, either. Yes it is tied to the Scion line of cars. They have a number of samplers and promos that are really good actually, most of the time they are DJ mixes/mashups. I guess if you read the word Scion enough it makes you want to buy one?

I don’t know. I didn’t realize it was an actual label. I could understand it’s vision, though. Scion is always trying to position itself as kind of edgy and hip (despite my personal belief that the vehicles are retarded) and has tie-ins with many urban artists and such.
I suppose there’s a good logic to sponsoring bands as well. They get first access to the artists for events and promos and such (and probably for use in advertising) and also get to latch on to their image and coolness. This is all in addition, of course, to any revenue from actual product sales.
That all being said, it’s still weird to me that Melvins ended up being one of these artists.
Dude, I drive a Scion and I love it.
Everyone I know with a Scion loves 'em. I believe it, I owned a Toyota for a while and as old and beat up as it was, it was a solid fucking car that scooted.
I’m perfectly happy with my Buick though. Nothing like a nice Buick. In China, they don’t want Mercedes or BMW or Lincoln limos, your limousine ain’t shit in China unless it’s a Buick. Strange but true.

Well, at least it ain’t the Nissan Cube.
And yeah, as DB noted, you really can’t go wrong with a Toyota or a Honda. Those things will drive problem free FOREVER! I bought my wife her second Honda last year. The last one was a 97, I believe, and had 200K+ on it. Only reason I got her a new one is because her last one got destroyed when an illegal alien crashed into it.
They have a new album out soon, with Trevor Dunn (legendary bass player for Mr Bungle, Fantomas, John Zorn etc) called Freak Puke. Here’s a tempting review…
Trevor’s a great guy. Very cordial and loves to take the piss. I know he did stuff with Melvins over the past few years when needed in a pinch, is he permanent now or something?
This is a good e.p. btw.
Well worth the nothing I paid for it.
