Got this beaut this morning, but fuck I can’t listen to it yet as am in work and the mp3 download code is not redeemable until Monday.
I personally can’t wait for this. I’m going to a record shop tomorrow, hoping they have it in stock on vinyl early. I am in love with the artwork and the track I’ve heard so far.
i found a rip of the livestream they did and haven’t been able to listen to anything else the last two days. it is really great. I was thinking about it last night and it’s like hearing your music through an 8mm film, but also a bit of Zombi thrown in. it is so choice, sirs.

thanks for that link, that song sounded great too. I was never a HUGE BoC fan, but I do like their past work. for some reason, I’m extra excited about this release. seems like it’s just the type of music I need at the moment. always loved their visuals too.

I’m away for the weekend but when I go back to my flat I’ll take some shots. The sleeves have what you might you call “typical” BoC artwork on them, and probably most similar to In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country (in that the pics are in those little windows).
Regardless I’d go with vinyl as it’s a great BoC album - and it’s the perfect format for it. I’d be very selective in what I’d buy on vinyl but BoC to me (and this album for sure) would be a definite record buying option.
Heard it. Album is fucking brilliant, and very cinematic. If Kubrick had passed on “Clockwork Orange” and it was picked up by Carpenter, this might’ve been the soundtrack.
Definite Carpenter vibe there. Also Mark Isham (was glad to see them acknowledge such in a recent Guardian interview). Was listening to Isham recently - The Hitcher soundtrack. Great score.
