Ok, looks like SMM was announced a while ago: http://loudwire.com/ministry-al-jourgensen-surgical-meth-machine/
“Uncle Al just announced a speed metal project called Surgical Meth Machine with longtime engineer Sam D’Ambruoso, promising that no song will be slower than 220 beats per minute.”
Aww, speed metal? I was hoping SMM would be a pure industrial project, for Al to perform at his new festival.
No mention of the “Dubweiser” album in the new clip… think he’s cancelled that idea?
Can’t wait for Lard in 2017, an industrial package tour headlined by Ministry playing garbage, and Surgical Meth Machine in, I dunno, never?
So, basically, it’s post-2004 ministry, but with a different name?

What did you expect?
I am surprised by the announcement of the Industrial Strength festival, since I wasn’t aware that Al was particularly interested in the current industrial scene. Really curious to see what the lineup of that will be like.

Well, for those who are not fans of the post-2004 Ministry, isn’t it a relief that he isn’t going to sully the Ministry brand further?
I’ll check out SMM. Maybe it’s horrible or maybe it’s really cool. Al’s certainly enthusiastic. But, if homeboy from coal chamber guests my eyes most certainly will roll.
movie = documentary = college lecture = comic book = another book = lil Wayne = Trent/Al collab = glee TV appearance = dubweiser = industrial strength festival.
For the purely superficial reason that I’ve seen pics of Al and Jello in the recent past is why I’m holding out hope for Lard.

He always is for his new shit
The LARD rumor is actually legit. They actually laid down some music together (Jello was down here) last year some time. How long it takes to get pressed and see the light of day will be another story . . . . but there is new LARD on the way.
one of the openers for Faith No More in LA was called Dubweiser so…gonna have to come up with a new name there Al.
I assumed SMM would be stuttering, cut-up faux-debstep like all the remixxxes they’ve been doing in the last couple of years.

That’s exactly that i’m expecting too, it’s fine to do that effect once in a while, but it’s a bit overused on FBTE, and i don’t know if i could take a full album of it.

Technically, they were called Mexican Dubweiser. (According to the poster) But hopefully it’s still close enough for him to drop it.
Somehow I feel like the goal of every Al project he puts out year after year, remix record or not, is for some sort of bizarre tax incentive. Kind of like how the government buys tons of cheap Chinese shit in bulk and stores it in a Nevada desert underground somewhere…
Jews In Space anyone?
It’d got to be something. These albums aren’t selling like they used to, yet he continues. He’s got to be losing money on these releases. The touring probably makes up for it. But still…
I dunno, he gave away the last two remixxx albums. He doesn’t seem all that concerned about selling records now that he’s split with Angie.
