Al says in the interview that Acrassicauda is the ONLY new-ish band he is a fan of, so he has been enjoying some metal outside his immediate social circle. BTW, I don’t consider it confirmed that Al is producing or contributing anything to the new Rigor Mortis, Acrassicauda, or Plastilina Mosh. That was the question, but the way he worded the answer he could just as easily be selling them some studio time and letting them do their own thing. We’ll find out eventually.
Funny you mentioned Beavis- there was a moment in the interview where I thought Al really had the vocal mannerisms of him.
Al mentioned working on 39 albums (including remix and compilations) in the past 30 years (or so) Years. He was was right on the dot. This list does not mention singles, or EPs (as many of those tracks were included in compilations) nor production work.

The only thing that Rigor would be needing from 13th Planet is the label to release/ distribute it.
I really am curious and excited to see what comes of the Accrassicauda thing. The sound was sloppy and raw but the energy and soul was there, so I think working with an actual studio and someone like Al that does have some musical intuition and common sense they might actually be able to get something out of it.

I don’t think 13th Planet really exists as a label anymore - that’s why the last Ministry material came out on Cleopatra and Relapse is on whatever label its on.
I suspect he’s referring to 13th Planet Studios, his place in El Paso. The bands are probably just recording there. Maybe Al will produce a track or two.
I was searching for it to see if I could find it through another source and found this which I thought was kind of funny as they’re talking about Al’s retirement.
