I saw her at Sunn O))) several months ago. She was one of probably 5 females at the show, and she sat in the v.i.p. section.
Sunn O))) had a VIP section?!?!?!
What is the world coming to?
Who else was there? Ronnie James Dio? The geeky guy from Two And A Half Men? Macaulay Culkin?!?! Cher?
Strange days indeed.
BTW Who are The Legendary Pink Dots? I know Edward Ka Spel is their frontman (and I have one of his albums somewhere…it’s instrumental) but I have never heard their music.

Any good?[/reply]
The Legendary Pink Dots have been around since the early cassette trading days of the '80s. They started out in England for a couple of years then moved to the Netherlands where they’ve been based ever since.
Their sound runs the gamut of baroque/gothic/psychedelic/industrial often on the same album. Ka-Spel’s voice is one of those you either love or hate, but to me his lyrics are interesting and poetic. Their early stuff is more experimental sounding being on a lot of those Industrial compilations from the time.
The Pink Dots are one of those bands with a pretty rabid following, and are incredibly prolific. I have around 20 albums and I consider myself a minor fan [:)] I would recommend either The Maria Dimension, or The Crushed Velvet Apocalypse for starters.
Here is one of my favorite songs of theirs ‘Blacklist’ circa 1989-90.
I assume you mean the old Galaxy Music? I got my keyboard there. They moved to Dawsonville a year or so ago.
Yes, this happened around 1996 or 97 when Galaxy Music was still located on Memorial Drive then they moved to Hwy 78 for a long time. I had not been in there in years, and just recently noticed they were gone. Ken Stanton music is there now.
Drawings of Patient O.T. changed my life. I had started at Perpetuum Mobile, but the next immediate two were both Tabula Rase and Drawings. I had mentioned the band to a friend of mine, who out of curiousity, downloaded Blume and a couple others that he didn’t like. But I had instantly fell in love with Blume. Don’t even get me started on Headcleaner! haha. Easily one of my top favorite bands of all time.
Yeah Tabula Rasa hooked me in too. I loved that album back then and still love it even now. Die Interimsliebnen (probably spelt wrong) sounds like their Stairway To Heaven.
The Jewels was a return to form too after ten years of so so releases.
It’s still hard to go past their first couple of albums though. Especially Strategies Against Architecture. I keep going back to that again and again. Puts 90% of today’s ‘noise’ or experimental music to shame.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who HASN’T heard them and is curious.
