My girlfriend just scored the first season of the Australian show Summer Heights High, and I must say it’s friggin hilarious!

Basically it’s a mocumentary about life in an Australian public high school.

All the main characters are played by the guy who created the show Chris Lilley. This dude is a genius as he absolutely NAILS the characters.

My favourite character is the Tongan school boy Jonah who thinks he’s the coolest break dancer around town.

The other two characters are the ultra camp drama teacher Mr G and the ultra “totally” cool and posh private school girl Ja’mie who is on a swap with Summer Heights.

I’ve seen some of that on youtube and it is pretty funny alright. The scene where he plays the bully and is in the front of the prinicpal being questioned is priceless. He makes up allegations that his father abused him to get himself off the hook or something. Should watch more of it.

Meh… it’s ok, I thought it was a bit hyped up. Some of it was pretty amusing, but I got a bit sick of seeing Chris Lilley play every major character like in his previous show We Will Be Heroes or whatever it was called.
