cool study…surprised to see that Country/Western isn’t lumped into the Low Self esteem category
Late,
grmpysmrf
I wonder if they truly used ‘Country & Western’ which is quite depressing often or ‘Country Pop’ which is total shite.
In any case, generalizations are just that.
i think i have to take my gentle ass outside now and beat the hell outta somebody.
um excuse me?
where the fuck is the Punk/Post Punk Ethic section on that fuckin list huh?
I guess I can put that under fucking blues.
Assholes… always trying to make sense out of shit that doesn’t need to be made sense of and just needs to be accepted so everyone can just shut the fuck up and get something done!
AGH.
including myself.
where am i anyway?
senor merrick you’re back.congratulations.
here’s where you be.
you are correct, no punk/ post punk? HUH?
i liked the reggae profile too. laughed my ass off.(how many dreaded jamaicans get this much fun in a couple minutes? oh yeah…never mind.)
What does “at ease” mean anyway? Who in the world, when asked to sum up their lives in a few words, would choose “at ease”? “Not Gentle”?
no ambient drone! [pirate][laugh]
“I don’t want to sound gay or nothing but I think Depeche Mode kicks ass”
“I don’t want to sound gay or nothing but I think Depeche Mode kicks ass”
AMEN!
c’mon, depeche mode are a great band. i wouldn’t listen to ‘em unless i had to, but so what. pretty damn near the top of the heap with the synth pop and still doin’ it. good for them.
Easily one of my favorite bands ever.
I think DM’s crossover appeal is ironically what decreased my interest in them. Sure, I enjoyed those 80s albums a lot (Black Celebration, Music For The Masses, Violator). Intriguingly simple music with clever lyrics - whats not to like? It did start getting annoying when I discovered that all the dance-club types were all over it though. I think DM also started catering more to that crowd as time went on as well.
I do wish music could exist in a void but sadly, that is not the case.
Sabbath is always the way to go. Dark, Heavy, and great musicians.
Heh, nobody actually got the joke…
