I need a vacation
[reply][reply][reply]I thought for some reason you were cabining it in South Carolina.
Here’s to healing brother!!
Late,

Our trip to Asheville was a few weeks ago. No cable, internet, or cellphone for 3 days. And the cabin, well…the pics speak for themselves.[/reply]
Did you stay in that little shack???[/reply]
Yep. Three nights. The main cabin was big enough for a queen-size bed and a living area. Then there was an add-on in the back with another bedroom and full bath. The roof at the right side of pic was the cookhouse which has a kitchen, dining area and a screened in porch with a couch, another dining area and a couple of rocking chairs. Plenty of room for 5 or 6 people but there was just the two of us. Lots of privacy and really well kept. There was an old TV and a DVD player that we used at night…but that was our only modern electronic convenience.[/reply]
You two area cute couple![:P]

@ Grumpysmurf - Yeah homes, I’m a fan of early Megadeth and from what I heard on Amazon the remasters sound like shit. Apparently a lot of others agree with us and voiced their opinions in the comment review sections. It would have been better if he just isolated the original voice tracks from a CD of the release and then just tweaked what he wanted to. In either case I prefer the way the instruments sounded on the original release and thought the albums needed very little if any “remastering”.
@ Wempathy - Cool cabin man, looks like a nice little change of pace from Chicago for a while, although the weather here has been gorgeous this week! And hey, if you’re going to wear that tan leather vest you gotta wear some more rugged, macho boots to go with them, not those metro-sexual shoes you’re wearing! Ha ha, just breaking balls, hope you had a good time

It’s worse than you think. The vest isn’t even leather, it’s corduroy. [blush]
Then again I’ve always been more of a foppish dandy mod sort so it’s really no surprise. [:)]
Everything PointOfCollapse said is true.
somebody told me the point of mastering was to make the album sound the same no matter where you played it - car, home, jukebox, etc.
these days the point seems to be to make it as loud as possible.
You are correct on both
RR: awesome trip man, you two look rested.
Asheville is a beautiful city, I take it you didn’t see the Biltmore?

But we did. The pic of us standing in the portico is at Biltmore, in the garden. It was our second trip there, the first being 25 years ago. Here’s a pic of me sitting on the porch at Biltmore.
I agree, it’s really beautiful there.
Nice! I almost got a job as a policemen for Biltmore Forest years ago…weird stuff…would’ve been a cush gig. Ha!
