Mumford & Sons

I suppose also, being Irish, i’ve heard folk-style music all my life with banjos and all that, which i found superior to Mumford, that might be partly why i’m not a fan, but maybe people could get into that kind of music through listening to Bumford.

They’re one of my banjo inspirations, along with William Elliott Whitmore, the Builders And The Butchers, and Woven Hand.

I wish Al had hired a real banjo player for Buck Satan instead of just having Scaccia play whatever he did (it was either a six sting banjo tuned like a guitar or guitar with a midi banjo sound).

Fair enough.

I hate them.

I hate them.

There’s another news flash.

Catch ya off guard with that one, Grumps?

Catch ya off guard with that one, Grumps?

Who? Olsen? Well whatever Peligro likes Olsen likes too, so you figure Peligro speaks for both of them. but whatever.

It’s bland, inoffensive white bread folk pop that young, college types will listen to in coffee shops while typing on their laptops in front of a big open, cosy fireplace.

I can imagine the cast of Dawson’s Creek huddled around a campfire, snuggling up to each other while Mumford & Sons plays on a portable stereo as they toast marshmallows and discuss their complicated social lives.

Yuck!!

Inoffensive? Nah, Bro! You don’t know what you’re talkin’ about. He totally said the F-Word in that one song. It was crazy! He was like, “I really f***ed it up this time!”

When I heard it I was like, “Damn! Did he say what I thought he said?” and then he said it again. He just didn’t even care. It was so badass! He totally was spittin’ in the face of society.

But you didn’t notice. While you were watching Burzum videos with the 10 other 12 year olds on YouTube who were impressed by his creepy quasi-intellectual Nazi-paganism, Mumford and Sons were CHANGING THE WORLD THROUGH CULTURAL REBELLION!!!

Yep. That’s how it went down!

Actually, I was cooking scrambled eggs and watching a documentary on quantum physics.

I just figured because it was catchy you wouldn’t like it. I was right.

[reply]I had never heard of them, so I youtube’d it.

Verdict: Can’t say I’d ever bother to listen to them again.

HEADLINE! Hipster “music” snob Peligro, didn’t like something that contained a melody.

That is all. Please go about your business.

There’s “melody” in most music I listen to. There’s an abundance of “melody” even in Burzum.

I disliked Mumford because they were terrible. They were almost as terrible as Kaiser Chiefs.

Who are really, REALLY bad btw.

Could you be anymore vague? “They are bad, so bad that they exist so the crappy bands will feel better about themselves.” But never anything specific just “that sux!”
Late,
grmpysmrf

Could you be anymore vague?

Yes I could.

This is an example of me being more vague:

I shouldn’t have expected anything different from Peligro. it’s his normal no talent music. Some kid with downs has a stuffy nose and is singing while snapping his fingers and running a fork on the outside of the fan.

god bless you peligro.

For the record,Scott Walker is 70 years old…

Haha! That makes sense.
It seems to me like the senile noodlings of a decrepit old coot plunking away on his Casio keyboard in his off hours between church bingo and soiling himself.

You guys wanna know a secret? I like Scott Walker AND Mumford & Sons.

Walker has a really fascinating history, btw. He’s a huge influence on Chris Connelly, too.
