Hello Everyone!
sorry for the silence. it’s been busy around here!
wanted to update y’all on what is going on, but first want to apologize to the pissants who have sent me private messages. for some reason, i am unable to post replies to y’all. i will work it out with afra and get back to you soon.
Well, first off, Al just completed a re-mix of The Melvins/Jello Biafra project, a track entitled: “Enchanted Fist Thought.” Then he was working on some interesting theme songs for two TV shows. Al calls it “cop rock.” I’ll tell you more about this if/when these projects move forward.
Next up, Al is producing a young musician, songwriter, producer from Detroit Spyder Baby (see [url “http://www.spyderbaby.net),/”]www.spyderbaby.net), and just finished a remix of a track entitled “Bitter.”
Then, Mr. Gibby Haynes came to Hell Paso for a spell, and he and Al and Mike Scaccia and Ginger Baker (ooops I mean Mark Baker) worked together in the studio for 10 days. It was awesome! I’ll keep you posted on where all of that will lead as things unfurl themselves.
Unfortunately, our agent in Europe could not make a tour happen for Ministry this summer, which totally SUCKS and bummed me out for quite a while, but everything happens for a reason, and it looks like Al will spend the summer in the studio working on some new stuff for a couple of projects, so it is all good.
In the next little while, Ministry Evil Doer Tour swag will be available at the eStore, so if you missed us on tour in the States, you will still have a chance to capture the T-Shirt. ha ha!
And what a FANTASTIC tour it was, and we are so grateful to all of the pissants who came out and showed their support of Ministry, and to everyone who made it backstage, or the tour bus to say hello and introduce yourselves. We are especially grateful to the pissants who volunteered to man the voter registration booths at each show. You REALLY made a difference and we are very proud of the enthusiasm of our pissants who responded to this call to arms.
We cannot WAIT to get back on the road again, but it won’t probably be until next year, the Year of the Dog (which is Al’s chinese astrological sign).
2005 is showing itself to be a great year, and after all, it is the Year of the Cock (and that’s all I’m gonna say for right now).
So between Cocks and Dogs, you shall be hearing and seeing more of Al.
Miss you guys…thank you for being a part of our dysfunctional functioning rock n roll family!
luv,
mrsjay

i’m still cracking up over that one. anyway, the 49 Chevy is a fantastic car, but it just could take Al’s need for speed. Al got himself a Viper (V10 and 6 gears 100 mph in 2nd gear) and was forthwith quite bored of the Coupe. It went to a young Ministry fan in Albequerque and is in very good hands now, happy to say.
Al and I never did the eBay thing before, so it was all a very new experience for us, very positive, and kind of a cool way to sell a car!
So there is the skinny on that.
luv,
mrsjay
