Apologies I have not been able to address this matter
sooner, and I also apologize to the moderators because they
have been taking the heat on this issue on our behalf whilst
we focus on the loss of our dear friend.
I also apologize for not being available to deal with this
matter directly and more appropriately in the past week
and am sorry to have caused any confusion or miscommunication.
We had several of our moderators resign over the hailstorm
they were subjected to this past week, and I feel really badly
about this.
Al and I would like to sincerely thank all of our moderators for
their kindness and support this past week and for taking the heat
for us when we were unavailable due to circumstances beyond
our control.
My, what a terrible job at damage control by Mrs. Jay and company. They should have posted the legal disclaimer at the very first mention of the litigation rather than try to cover it up. (Ironic isn’t it that “Cover Up” is the title for the dreaded Ministry covers album!) It just makes the whole PR camp look sneaky and underhanded. Now the board has a reputation that it will probably never recover from, not to say it had a great one to begin with.

maybe i guess… get just as much just haunting… i’m obviously cooled off a bit… still it would be nice to get a personal apology rather than the blanket generic one… i don’t think anyone else got “membership” pulled…

I doubt anyone else started a thread about “That fucking bitch” on the other main board where it was bound to be seen either. I wouldn’t hold your breath about getting that personal apology. Nothing personal, just sayin’.

Perhaps I could come up with a thread that dishes my frustration out on another source and offer a generic reason as to why I reacted the way I did. BTW Chris has called her way worse and he’s back… Your point is completely undserstood though.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact their friend just died. Writing and then putting a legal disclaimer on an internet forum for a bunch of whiney nerds is probably the last thing they really cared about at the time.
Well yes after the news of Raven’s death I’m sure that would be the last thing on their mind. However, the posting and subsequent deletion of posts regarding the litigation began the day before as I recall.
there’s no real reason to delete posts to this site or PA other than cosmetic. as many people have said already, the lawsuit–it’s public record. anyone can download the papers(i think, if you pay the fee).more whitewash bs.
i haven’t the time any longer, nor does mysfyt. there was no behind the scene drama or anything, nothing to see there.
what went down over there was unfortunate, two bad things happening at once (although i’d say raven’s passing outweighs posts being deleted without explanation).
But damn, people just need to settle the fuck down. IMHO i don’t think anything mrsjay has said or done or had done has warranted the venomous posts she’s been the subject of here. and now she has done what was so very important to some people here and there. it may not have been on people’s expected time schedule, but i think others are right when they say explaining your actions to some internet fans is unimportant when compared to burying the dead.

a personal apology? come now, after all you have said about her? she is a human being you know. she could use an apology herself. people say things in anger, i understand this. it can be put behind us if we all just move on and don’t dwell.

It’s good that she finally took the time to acknowledge. I respect that some. My main beef with her is that her and al are absolutely shitty when it comes to public relations. Other than that, whatever. Using a death is a cheap excuse to cover up anything. Raven’s death was and is still very unfortunate, but if you don’t want to answer something, it’s not really necessary and going a little over bounds with the people you’re trying to sell to. The deletions were ridiculous, and you can simply just ignore the lawsuit questions or address it the way she did, which was rational. You don’t have to disclose any of that, and she chose not to. But covering it up so much as to means of deletion isn’t rational.
That’s my gripe. Other than that, good for her for finally stepping up.
Yep, Ringo, I left for a day, and chilled out a bit. I’m still pissed that they’re suing Paul, still pissed about a lot of things (the deletions weren’t the only reasons I was upset), but it really comes down to the fact that they at least acknowledged SOMETHING, and really, I have nothing better to do with my time. So there, I suck. Didn’t realize Grmpy was still banned - that’s really quite gay. [:/] (Oh, your CD is finally in the mail - sorry about the delay).
And yes, I have said WAY worse things, about AND to her. I have some real gems saved in my mail account over there that I’ll have to print out some day, just in case I ever do get banned. For the moment, I’m leaving off on the whole thing - we’ll see when we see. I meant what I said about not supporting them anymore, though - not only will they never see another penny off me, but also rather than recommending Ministry to the curious anymore I’ll be actively slagging them off at every opportunity.
