By the way, just last week Motorhead was honored by the City of Los Angeles because some mayor dude was a huge fan and he busted his ass to make it happen so they could honor Lemmy and the boys.
I think that rules.

Dallas and Houston cancelled…
The dude should just retire. No shame in retiring. I’d retire today if I could.

He should, definitely, and just try to enjoy the rest of his life, whatever’s left. Hopefully he’s got a while yet. Even if they can’t perform live, he may still be able to record again if he wants.
Yeah but Lem doesn’t know anything…

Motörhead Dildos – Yes, this is real . . . .
A little pricey (I guess) but . . . in case you’re in the market for the most rock-and-roll dildos ever . . .
Way cooler than Kiss Kondoms!!!

Totally. If the big one with the Snaggletooth on it wasn’t $45 I’d buy it for my collection (my Motörhead collection, that is, as I don’t really have a dildo collection . . . yet).
In other news, Lemmy and the boys were back in St. Louis last night and completed their full set and were well received by a thankful crowd of fans.
He was not wearing his cowboy boots, though, which I thought was sad at first, but then took it as a positive sign since Lemmy couldn’t possibly die without his boots on.

I’ve had Die With your Boots On by Maiden stuck in my head since I read your post…
If you haven’t picked up the newest (“Bad Magic”) I’ll tell ya it’s worth a look. I think it’s the best they’ve done in about 10 years.
Even the Stones cover (“Sympathy for the Devil”) is great . . .
Opted for Riot Fest last night over Godflesh and had to leave halfway through Motorhead. And this from a guy who had Ace of Spades when it first came out. (Yeah I’m older than most of you).
With the trouble of the past few weeks they should have cancelled the tour, recuperated and came out again in a month or two; instead of having maybe one or two good shows, blowing out his voice and tanking the next few.
Again I’m a huge fan for 30+ years but Lemmy could barely speak much less sing; croaking would be a generous description. When I got home my wife first asked how Motorhead was, knowing I was super-stoked to see them, having stood around watching two hours of bad emo-punk in the interim and I likened it to a combination of when my mother was hospitalized with viral endo-carditis and my alcoholic drug addict brother on a bender.

And? In your 80 years of livin’ you never got around to seeing Motörhead? And now you’re upset that, the show you went to, which was on the heels of Lemmy almost dying on stage, had a 70 year old man singing with less-than-Sinatra-esque vocal clarity?
