That is sad, it’s a terrible disease or condition, whatever you want to call it. I loved everything for the first few years of Manson, the book was great, but slowly, piece by piece, he became a joke. It’s annoying for me that i dislike his stuff so much these days, the band was a massive influence on me, really loved them and listened to them non-stop for years.

Embarrassing for both parties! The questions submitted by facebook users were funny, especially the quip at Corgan. I came away from watching this feeling nothing but some sympathy for the guy. He had absolutely nothing interesting to say, let alone insights on what motivates him to keep going. Maybe Larry didn’t give him any openings to do this.
On a sidenote, I’m surprised suspenders aren’t regular hipster fashion…
Beyond that only time will tell…I’ve said it before (not sure if it was on here though) that I think if anyone could help him at this point it would be Alice, having gone through the depths of alcoholism and come out on top, and also being probably the only person who Manson would take seriously as a mentor, other than David Bowie, who would never be arsed to take on such a task. Alice has been known to reach out to ailing rockstars…
not to be a dink here, but i mean… Bowie has also reached out to a few fallen stars who needed someone to help them stand back up and find themselves. he even worked with them in the studio and in some cases moved them in with him, to help get them back together. though… granted… the people Bowie chose to do this with were people like Lou Reed and Iggy Pop…

Yeah but those were friends. Bowie’s attitude towards Manson seems to be one of “Thank you for the adoration now kindly leave me alone” lol…
(I’m not going by much when I say that other than the body language in this photo and the fact that he turned down the opportunity to produce ‘Mechanical Animals’, but I think the latter especially paints a clear picture that the guy was not interested in befriending Manson…I mean this was when Manson was at the peak of his career and Bowie chose instead to work with Trent Reznor)
