What kind of musical equipment and instruments did Ministry/Revco use during 1986-1990 tours?
As far as I know:
Simmons drum pads
AKAI samplers and keyboards (AX73?)
Fairlight
Some analog synths during Twitch tour (Roland Juno I suppose?)
Having had one laying around here for years, I do know that a Steinberger Spirit guitar was in the mix during the era in which “You Goddamned Son of a Bitch” was recorded / filmed.
To what degree it actually got played, though, I have no idea - you can see Luc Van Acker in the video strumming away on it during “Cattle Grind” but I think the guitar ambience was all on a backing tape anyway. I believe Al does make proper use of it during other songs in that set.
