Twilight Zone released today.

Another long intro and another slow tune. First listening…nothing great but it does have a scarecrow harmonica/groove to it.

I actually like this track. Classic Ministry to me, was all about setting up soundscapes that took you out of your mind. Hizbollah, Dream Song, Faith Collapsing, Grace, Corrosion, etc.

This song falls into that realm to me. This is not far at all from Scarecrow.

It’s a nice departure from the redundant formula of speed metal with a long bellowed Chorus sung through fuzz.

Hoping the rest of the album is more like this.

I was able to find 30 second clip on my phone on spotify the other day to listen to but cant find it on laptop.

I am really liking it too. Best thing I have out of Al in a decade, arguably, other than maybe I’m Invisible. 3 songs so far, and the new album is already clearly better than Relapse or FBtE.

I subscribe to YouTube Red/Google Play Music and it is on there as well, so its not just Spotify.

Ok, so the point is, it’s only on stuff that you have to subscribe to? I don’t see it on regular Youtube. I don’t see it on Ministry’s Bandcamp or Facebook profiles.

I’m not a fan of labels using this model for singles, and I’ll own the track on CD in a few weeks anyway, so I guess I’ll just hear it then.

Surprised to see a lot more effort put into this one. It reminds me somewhat of the music video for “Atrophy” by 3Teeth (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uabChNfWAcM), but the similarity could be coincidental.
