Oh Shit. Let me guess, the lead singer from White Lion is going to sing a remake of N.W.O. with Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt on guitar.

wow. i don’t believe it. i thought he’d wait at least 4 years. its kind of funny if you think about it… he took longer getting PSALM69 out that he did from getting ministry “back together”.

So 13th Planet has finally sank? This is seriously ridiculous. I can’t wait to see the press.

I’m going to try and be positive here:

Based on the AC/DC throwaway track, this could very well be a compilation of leftovers or live album.

or

Maybe Al has come to his senses and realized that Ministry didn’t exactly go out on the terms he (or the fans) wanted. He needs to save his credibility.

Where did you see that? I’m looking at the site and see nothing. Guessing 13th Planet is no more? And why Cleopatra? That’s a horrible label. Only ones willing to take Al?

Maybe Cleopatra will do distribution. KMFDM, for example, is on Metropolis but KMFDM Records exists as well.

Wow, huh… I d/l’ed the song from eMusic, not very good is an accurate description. Oh well, there’s a cool synth hit in there.

Al on Cleopatra is a sure sign that Ministry is over (even as it appears they’re coming back) as pretty much no “going concern” has ever been signed to Cleo, it’s a halfway house for the forgettable and forgotten.

What’s scary is the lack of noise from the Ministry camp. Nothing like releasing bad albums to pay the mortgage.

Then the label that was distributing them before dumped them?

Maybe. How much cashflow has Al been seeing lately? I can’t imagine too much.

There has been like 12 releases in the last 2 years. Cash Cow!

Sounds just about right. I’m going to bet on that lineup.

The header of the Cleopatra site has a Flash slide show of news items, the Ministry news is the last slide.

Well, i’ll be damned… This isn’t going to be good…

Great.

Now the Ministry name will be remembered not for their classic innovative material but for being a butt-rock cover band who put out lame records on a washed-up goth record label.

Next they’ll be doing a summer county fair tour.

Next they’ll be doing a summer county fair tour.

I don’t think they’re actually big enough to pull off a county fair tour…

The last solo track came out a month or so ago with the RevCo cd.
There’s a thread about it somewhere.

Downloading Thunderstruck now. Haven’t listened yet, but it can’t be as good as Birmingham 6’s version - THAT kicks ass.

EDIT: Listening now - like most of Cover Up, it’s not very good.

Care to share?

NOOOOOOOOOOO

Put it to bed Al! Enough is enough!

It’s getting to the point where Ministry will have more awful buttrock music to its name than good!

Jourgensen himself. Skateboard will also be servicing [white]the brand-new full-length album, to be released by Cleopatra later this year[/white].

Is Skateboard a band??
