I have been looking around on the internet to see reviews about the book and see fan’s reactions. How sad is it that the book is full of crazy stories, really sad deaths and enlightening life changing experiences but the only thing I see headlines about is the fact that Al preformed oral on another dude? Really, that’s all these people got out of the book?
Did you like the book? If so, what was your favorite or most memorable part of the book?
There’s a pretty solid thread for it and a number of us have some feedback on it other than just “OMG AL SUX HIS WEEN!!!”

I suspect that’s mostly because the news that Al’s got a mouth like a hoover will get Blabbermouth and Metal Sucks lots of page hits and both of them depend on advertising and page hits to make money.
My thoughts on Al’s oral skills are as follows: he probably blew Phildo, Sascha, Gibby, Luc, and Mike before their interviews. Or at least promised he would.

I guess people wig on it because Al just seems like such a bad ass and having a dick in your mouth is very subservient. Not really how most people picture him. I am friends with a guy who used to be Layne Staley’s dealer/friend and he told me about he and Layne bobbin each other’s nobs. He said that when you are fucked up you will do anything that feels good and not give a shit.
I’m just pissed there’s no pictures.
i loved it when mike scaccia revealed the shocking fact that paul took out a life insurance policy on al. i expect there to be a clap of thunder and horses whinnying in the audiobook at that point, or i’m going to be very disappointed.
you can tell mike originally said something like, “paul totally tried to whack al!!! we have it on paper and it’s a fact!!!” but wiederhorn told him to tone it down because even he couldn’t contain his laughter at the thought of a pencil-necked geek like paul barker popping a cap in anyone’s ass.
I enjoyed the whole thing to be honest. Yeah, it was ridiculous in parts (most parts), but i really enjoyed it.
Mikey and his family are soooooo lucky that he snuffed it before the voices in Al’s head had time to tell him that Mike was plotting with the aliens to eat his brain.

why would he need to do that? phildo’s a brain fried lickspittle and gibby’s a greedy slimeball who sees thieves around every corner.
dunno about luc, though. maybe al just promised to take him to krispie kreme every time he visits the states.
