Please tell me ONO is some weird underground hipster band that you kids know about and i’m too out of touch for.
I really hope it’s not what I would naturally think it is. Or maybe I hope it’s exactly that.
I wonder if it will be as thrilling as his guest spot on that Coal Chamber song.
The track is at the very bottom of the page linked. Its interesting and doesnt sound bad to me.

No, Gunnar, he is clearly doing a duet with former John Lennon muse and conceptual artist Yoko Ono. I hear it will be a remake of her classic “Don’t Worry Kyoko” all spruced up with GW Bush samples and wicked crunchy ‘drop D’ tuned guitars…
Al produced a couple songs with ONO back in the very early 80s. I remember reading a story about him playing them for Jim and Dannie and them not caring for it. They eventually came out, but not on Wax Trax. I tracked it down some time back, but it wasn’t my thing.
Here you go. Probably the most info I’ve found in the subject:

Actually, Yoko Ono is about to do a record with Death Cab For Cutie. Seriously.
This is really cool. It’s what it feels like to have an axiety attack without the energy to actually have one.
the theatrical gospel/avant-noise performance-poet/musicians
And . . . . no. I’ve already learned everything I need to know.
I’d rather have Yoko.

The thing is, an ‘everything but the kitchen sink’ art gimmick like that could have the potential to be incredibly entertaining. “Gospel avant-noise performance poetry etc. Etc.?” I hear that and have a perversely satisfying vision of Jimmy Swaggart dueting with Prurient while being showered in blood and offal as some neo-Dadaist shouts “nanoo!!! Nanoo!!! NANOO!!!” until blue in the face.
But we all know this project is going to actually take itself seriously, and not reach such dizzying heights of healthy meaninglessness.
What the fuck was that?

New Prurient is amazing by the way…just sayin…

Yes, I’m slowly warming up to Mr. Fernow, I was suspicious because he seemed like the “go-to” person for non-“noise” musicians to forge a collaboration with, and too often those choices seem arbitrary to me and based more on good networking skills instead of really unique musicianship.
But I do like what I’m hearing of the recent discography.
Seeing him live definitely gave me a different perspective…
