Ministry refused, mayhem ensues

This bar I used to go to that played industrial music has a facebook page. I saw this post today… I wonder which one it was that slapped her. (This would have been sometime around 1992 I guess)

“Jenn Heap Bouchard I’ll never forget when the Ministry guys came for Monday Industrial Progressive Dance Night when they were in town for lollapalooza. One of the guys slapped me cause I wouldn’t let him we were over capacity and a fight broke out and Ministry threatened to blow up the place, lol! Crazy times”

Steve Halberstadt Don’t forget how you were a part of the Ministry pummeling :slightly_smiling_face:

Jenn Heap Bouchard Steve Halberstadt yep because that dude slapped me and then it was on with all my protective skin heads, lol!

Shana Williams
Shana Williams That fight went from the Fallout, all the way up to the Velvet Cloak! I’ve hated Al Jorgenson since that night.

Jenn Heap Bouchard
Jenn Heap Bouchard Shana Williams, I got slapped and called a Fat Bitch for doing my job and they wonder why a fight broke out and tried to turn into some racist thing. Bunch of pussies!

Shana Williams
Shana Williams I remember, I was actually standing right next to you! You very politely told them that we were over capacity, but that if they went to the hotel and got their passes that you’d try to help them out.
Yeah they tried to make it out like the fight was about us being racist. Ha! I had some douchebag spit in my face and call me a redneck hillbilly bitch.

Steve Halberstadt
Steve Halberstadt FYI, fire law capacity for the club was 99, as posted on the wall. We were over 500 through the door that night!

Industrial drama!!!

I wish there was video of them getting their asses kicked…

Just imagine, there was a time when industrial nightclubs could be over capacity.

Fixed

(maybe they’re still around, who knows, I’ve just never seen one and the concept of there being enough demand for such a thing that it could be an actual functioning business venture is alien to me, but then again I’ve also never met an industrial music fan outside of the internet and we supposedly exist)

I saw Ohgr in one in West Palm Beach…it was like 1991 all over again…

Nothing worse than those gas masks…

Yeah,I’m looking at you Al…

Still plenty of industrial clubs in Los Angeles. (Bar Sinister, Das Bunker, etc) Where are you cats living, the Ozarks? Alaska?

New England has decent-I-guess punk and metal scenes but no real straight-up goth-industrial spectrum stuff I’ve been able to find. Even the goths I meet here don’t actually listen to that kind of music and are mostly just morbid punk fans (think Misfits-obsessives). I guess that’s still an improvement from the parts of the rural south I’m from where saying you like Ozzy Osbourne will get you beaten up by good ole boys for being a Satanist, let alone actual ‘dark’ music
