Ministry on the Saw III Soundtrack?

Indeed it’s true… but why THIS track??

All That Remains - This Calling
Static X - No Submission
Slayer - Eyes Of The Insane
Helmet - Monochrome
Distrurbed - Guarded
Blue October - Drilled A Wire Through My Cheek
Drowning Pool - No More
Avenged Sevenfold - Burn It Down
Eighteen Visions - Your Nightmare
Opiate For The Masses - Dead Underground
Bullet For My Valentine - Suffocating Under Words
MINISTRY - FEAR IS BIG BUSINESS
Mastadon - The Wolf Is Loose
Hydrovibe ft. Shawnee Smith - Killer Inside
Hourcast - Sakkara
Meshuggah - Shed
The Smashup - Effigy’’
Ghost Machine - Siesta Loca
Charlie Clouser - Shithole Theme

What a CRAP lineup for the most part…
And what a crap song to include… They should have chosen something darker, like… Burning Inside. LOL

Peace!

“The Smashup - Effigy”

Would be hilarious if that was a WS cover.

1002

Wouldn’t it be though? Too bad it’s not. I have already heard clips. It’s something else.

Disturbed. I could cry.

Thankfully I don’t give two shits about these movies.

Who are Disturbed? Or need I not ask?

I’ve hardly heard of any of those listed bands. Which I’m assuming is a good thing.

And yes, Christonabun, Aall of these films are the same. SO generic - like 90 minute Slipknot video clips. I don’t think I could sit through five minutes of a film like this. Scream was bad enough…

[:/]

Shawnee Smith is the best thing on that soundtrack, visually speaking…

Disturbed blows, in my opinion, but they have a lot of fans. Some people here may even like them. Just a bunch of bloated hard rock nonsense, basically.

1002

The first Saw wasn’t really that bad… sure, the acting was shitty, but damn the premise was neat. I liked the twist. The second one sucked balls, of course.

Oh dear… another Saw movie.

All these bands suck cock.

And you know what? The new Ministry really fits right in with them.

Mastodon, Meshuggah and Slayer are alright…

Eh, I enjoyed the first one like the previous poster. However Saw II lost everything the first one had good going for it. I’m sure this is just another furthur slide down the ladder of quality. However, I find it hard to deny seeing someone’s head drilled into in a movie.

horror buffs should watch (and mind thier idea on):

  • Halloween
  • Friday the 13th (part 1)
  • Evil Dead
  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)
  • The Shining

Everything else (like SAW) is just shit

love, slack

I’d have to add to Slacklove…

Alien
Evil Dead II
John Carpenter’s The Thing
The Exorcist
An American Werewolf in London

Now that’s family entertainment…

Because FEAR is so prevalent, even on the PA, where NUDITY has stricken FEAR (of male nudity) OF MUSIC foums. Big Business is more and more connected with horror movies --especially these cheaply-made SAW movies, which only require the rental of the trashiest old building downtown LA, a cheaply lit room with two chained, unknown actors, and a re-used plot. That’s crap made into money, FEAR of something new, and not just another sequel. So, Fear in Big Business is fitting song, whether or not it was intended.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. Granted I don’t know MOST of the cast from Saw I (which is the only movie you seem to referance in your post) but I DEFINATELY know who Cary ELwes is. He’s been in quite a few well known movies, even if they never were “huge” succeses, such as :

The Princess Bride - “Wesley/Dread Pirate Roberts”
Robin Hood : Men In Tights - “Robin Hood”
Bram Stoker’s Dracula - “Lord Arthur Holmwood”
and more.

And while the plot/story may not be the best thing in the world at least they did a decent job with the “tortures/traps” involved. I mean, think about it, man. Movies have been being made since the turn of the century (1900 or so - earlier than that if you want to count cinematographs), so we’ve kind of exhausted the supply on “fresh/original” movies, and have to just be inventive with new or invigorating ways of reviving all the old ones until someone gets smart enough to push us on to new frontiers with life in general.

And as far as old run-down thrashed buildings in LA, who cares where the set is? I’d rather see something like that (which is far scarier to me) than something like the rubbish of being scared by the woods in lame crap like “Cabin Fever” or something.

Peace!

yeah you’re right…huge generalization there. My bad

‘Night of the Living Dead’ (1968) is a good horror film aswell as being a lot more.

They’re doing some kind of weird “Night of the Living Dead…Live” thing tonight at 8 p.m. on G4TV. I had thought it was a live reenactment of the entire film, which sounds like a GREAT idea, but it seems like it might just be the original film with live running commentary from some dudes, all MST3K style. I’ll check it out, but I’m watching House at 9, whether it’s any good or not! [:)]

Someone needs to run with this zombie movie broadcast in real time idea, though. That would be fabulous.

I’d have to add to Slacklove…

Alien
The Exorcist

oh, good call

So I went to see the movie last tonight and all I can say is WTF? The movie was actually good. Maybe the best of the 3. Brutal tortures and traps, lots of gore, good plot tie-ins that connected the whole series together (which was much needed) and etc.

But the problem I had was that I didn’t hear a SINGLE ONE OF THOSE SONGS IN THE MOVIE. I heard Disturbed during the credits. That’s it. How lame is that?

Peace!
